I love live music, but I'm a fucking hipster, none of my friends know any of the bands I love. So finding someone to bring along is really hard.
Also, the wait in line, then the minimum 1hour wait before the show starts is unbearable sometimes.
Other than that, it's a million times more magical live

the bass tickles your gooch and the guitars fill your body, its ethereal. none of that shit outdoor festivals or big stages. I mean like a small club where the band is only feet from you. Seeing boris like that was incredible. Melvins too, jeff mangum sounded gorgeous too. Seeing Helmet in a couple weeks, so excited. If you dont like live music over an album you are either an idiot/faggot with sensitive ears or you've never seen a live show.
Live experiences and album experiences differ from artist to artist.
A lot of the smaller bands seem to care a lot more about the way they sound live than shitty popular rock or rap acts.

if the artists have nice tones that compliment eachother, than that wont be a problem, pretty much regardless of volume. And if the PA is good, which at professional shows should not be a problem. I mean, I saw Eyehategod play and it was fucking LOUD, and because they arent retarded, they eq'd their amps to sound excellent with eachother. maybe youve just never had a good experience with loud live music. trust me, ive heard some shit too
