It's 2015, almost all music is recorded digitally, why do you still buy vinyl?
It's not true analog.
Because buying digital is retarded; I like supporting artists; I like collecting the massive artwork.
Hipsters, and richfags.

It usually has higher dynamic range.
I only buy thriftshop and old vinyl that's not available online
>There are people on /mu/ who actually buy trash like Taylor Swift, FKA Twigs and Nicki Minaj on vinyl

Nope.

They don't put the same master on both the vinyl and digital release even if mastered digitally. The vinyl version almost always has a higher crest factor than the digital release.

myth. vinyl masters aren't any different from the retail CD master. theyre the same thing albeit undergone an automated process of applying the riaa curve, reducing gain, summing bass to mono etc.
funny, cause the reason modern pressings are noisier than the days of old is cause the same compressed masters are used, so the cutting level has to be reduced... the consumer must turn up their amp to compensate and suddenly its way noisier than if a more dynamic master had been used. or if the album had been released on a format that makes sense.

So you'd rather buy mp3s on a 20-30$ plastic disc only made to be sold at chain coffee shops then lossless audio on CD that has the same old shit just physically smaller.
True-vinyl is dead.
