His early work was garbage.

analogue bubblebath the song and didgeridoo are both great. The rest is pretty unremarkable but not all necessarily garbage.

Yeah I agree to a degree. Except if SAW 85-92 really was recorded between that time wouldn't it also count?

I guess OP means earlier releases.
I mean RDJ's earliest recorded track was "I" from SAW.
>>
>>53706630
yeah, I wonder why.

this anon is right though, especially about Didgeridoo.

What do you think makes it better?
>>
>>53707850
the fact it's more straightforward dance music material than what he'd do from HAB up until drukqs (Analord was a return to straight-up dance music again). his weird spin on that early 90's R&S sound is a real thing of beauty to appreciate

I guess I prefer experimental dance music to home listening-ish experimental wankfests more, idk
>>
Yeah, nothing he has ever put out is garbage, or even close for that matter. The only tracks of his I didn't much care for are the "Ktpa" ones off the Smojphace EP. Even then, they weren't bad, it's just something that I don't listen to much.

I enjoy the analogue bubblebaths, the analords, and melodies from mars, all more than SAWII

Never understood this as a criticism, but I'll assume by that you mean it's self-indulgent, which personally I always thought RDJ's more complex works avoided rather well (compared to stuff like Vsnares). The lengthier pieces on Drukqs for example, despite all the fireworks, still seem very humanly composed and retain a sense of direction. His ear for melody is still just as present there as it is on his early work.

I used wankfests for lack of a better word.
