Damn. I think I have to listen to it already.
The best thing about vaporwave is that it has introduced me to a whole world of really cool (now that I think of it) music from the 80s-90s that I never thought I 'd listen to and enjoy this much. Think R&B, urban soul, synth funk, TV shows and the weather channel music.
So I guess you know this feel anon.
Besides the obvious Chuck Person and New Dreams Ltd. this release is what sums it up and best speaks of what I had in mind.

First, macross isn't actual vaporwave, I don't quite get anyone who keeps shitposting about it and spam every vw thread with this shit, those are probably some stupid kids from leddit.
Second, I personally find the idea of charging anyone to pay any amount for it disgusting and fundamentally inconsistent with the genre's "canons" (I know this sounds silly but isn't it all about "internet is all about freedom" stuff?) This is just repulsive as it gets.

At least they offer an alternative of free downloads. And there are some good releases that sort of give some prospects and hopes for the genre's future. Such is the label owner (HK express), that guy has talent.
