ITT: eras and fads in music you're glad to see are long-gone.
I'm glad that the nu-rave/indie rock-dance punk fads have died. Shit like Hadouken, Does It Offend You Yeah, Shitdisco and all the other bands like them were insufferable.
The reverb revival of 2010 was the worst
I'll be glad when the last few crunkcore bands are gone
I don't think there's ever been a time when good music wasn't being made. Every musical era is vital to the whole of music that we have today.

Crunkcore is still a thing? I remember 3Oh!3 were the most successful for like a day
Dubstep. It only lasted from like 2011 to 2013 but thank god it's over
>>53422102
Falling in Reverse and Attila are the last of the breed
>>53422074
>>53422131
Dubstep is still pretty popular, isn't it? Maybe not to the point where pop songs are implementing a dub drop solo into their tracks like they were back inbetween 2011 to 2013, but it's still quite popular, right?
>>53422050
Literally the only kind of p4k music I like
>>53422195
It's popular if you are a 12-year old that invests his life in Minecraft.
>>53422236
I thought that was power metal and metalcore
Anthemic drum and bass. So fucking glad that's dead and buried.
I want radio "indie" pop to leave.
Buttrock like Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock and Nickelback.
nu-metal
indie folk
Grunge. Nirvana and Pearl Jam were the best on offer but that's like saying one shit smells better than another shit. They both still smell like shit.
>>53422334
Same. I'm just glad that Mumford and Sons isn't played every 5 minutes on the radio anymore. Hopefully Imagine Dragons will die soon.
Also, I hope the new trap fad dies soon. It's just terrible.
>>53422455
Trap is enjoyable in small doses but I won't deny that after a while it all just sounds the same.
>>53422359
Please don't remind me of that era. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
>>53422451
I'm glad pop punk is dead.
Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory, the list does not go on...
Buttrock (well, at least the shitty Alt-metal/Post-grunge buttrock that we've all come to know in the past 20 or so years) is definitely on it's way out.
Also; what do you guys think is gonna be the next "style" of buttrock? I'm placing my bets on tumblrpop bands like The 1975 and Imagine Dragons.
>>53422431
Indie folk is far from dead.
>>53422733
it is if you believe
>>53422016
Popular music is dying, everything you people love will be forgotten.
>>53422815
cool
chillwave, witch house, seapunk, oceangrunge, vaporwave
any ephemeral meme genre that kids get into for like 6 months and then move on
>>53422973
Vaporwave still has quite a following.
Chillwave was basically dream pop with overuse of reverb.
Seapunk never existed.
>>53422016
idk but i cant wait for the shit that diiv plays to die
>>53422973
I'm glad Salem fucked off for good. Their music was fucking shit.
>>53422511
Thank fucking God someone said this
>>53423910
i heard they were dropped from their label
>>53422511
That over-emphasised American whine in every vocalist's voice in every pop punk band ever was enough to put me off for life.
Pop Punk
Memerap
Death Grips
I want people who unironically say "fedora core" and "meme rap" to disappear.
>>53422251
Nah, it's a thing now with Let's Play people, they'll put a few seconds of a dubstep song into their intro for their videos.
>>53424302
Ohh fair enough, the only let's players I give attention two are Two Best Friends Play
>>53422131
dubstep has been around since at least the late 90s
