did y'all leave /mu/ forever?
that hat looks like a bell end
>>53326331
I don't think your bell end is supposed to be fuzzy
I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, I prefer Big Band/Dixieland/Ragtime/Stride Piano to any kind of Bop. Although Bird is my favorite musician of all time.
>>53326279
Monk is entry level as fuck
I like jazz, I'm still new to it though. I follow a bunch of collectors and Instagram and generally use them as a guide of what to listen to next.
>>53326358
hey anon, that's cool... you like what you like.
>>53326412
citation?
This should be good. From what I've read, it's not an "ECM album", which pleases me.
>>53326536
it's already leaked.
i've played it a couple times, but i haven't really listened to it closely. it's definitely not swing/bop oriented. not completely extemporaneous, but it's close to free/improvised music.
interesting record for JD to put out at this point in his career
Jazz is all shitty wankery and the only people who listen to it are people who either hate todays music or want to feel special
seriously, name one person who likes jazz that isn't doing it for academic purposes or just for being straight up autists
>>53326536
the links are still up on israbox, btw
>>53326587
Birdcalls has leaked too, it's pretty good have you heard it? Looking forward to the Sipiagin now.
>>53326594
i enjoy jazz fusion more so than just regular jazz but i still listen to lot of modern artists.
my taste is all over the place tbh.
but the type of people you speak of are truly wankers.
>>53326594
i hope for the future of civilization that you get and die of anal cancer
>>53326587
>not completely extemporaneous, but it's close to free/improvised music
That's what I would expect from these guys.
Yeah, there's torrents for this.
>>53326662
>my taste is all over the place tbh.
>lele xD so eclectic
fuck off normie
>>53326594
B-b-but I just like listening to the tunes. It's so pretty.
>>53326682
>listening to one genre of music.
*unsheathes katana*
Nothing personal, kid
>>53326594
Fruits are all shitty wankery and the only people who eat them are people who either hate today's food like Mcdonald's or want to feel special
seriously, name one person who likes fruits that isn't doing it for health reasons or just for being straight up autists
>>53326648
>Birdcalls
Roadrash?
haven't heard it it.. can't say that i'm a huge fan, but i will probably check it out once i get a copy
jtg? hi
>>53326794
I prefer legumes. Lentils are a solid 9.5.
>>53326860
I'm not jtg btw, check out this too.
>>53326860
that wasn't me actually
but I just got done downloading the new Vijay Iyer and Jack D records. Got Rudresh's queued to download.
I'll probably give at least two of them a listen later tonight.
anybody got a link/torrent for Kenny Wheeler's album? It's actually out now but I can't find a download for it.
>>53327076
i got a copy of that last week.. haven't had the opportunity to listen yet though
>>53326774
Wow man. It's really hard to go bellow the minimum standard a /mu/ poster but you managed it.
Go try be a funnay trip over on /pol/ or something.
>>53327131
I'm sure it's on slsk, not had the pleasure to listen to it yet shame he died last year.
>>53326279
nope,I'mrelistening to this, damn awesome and unique performance
>>53327131
The name of this album sure has me intrigued.
>>53327221
nobody on slsk seems to have it
guess I'll just keep an eye out. i'm sure it'll be on israbox/slsk soon
>>53326279
Do people around here like Cool Jazz? Maybe it's just me but it doesn't seem like it get's brought up much.
>>53327298
i've tried to like that record for years, but i've never really gotten into it
>>53327270
That's weird for an ecm.
>>53327267
Will eventually listen to this but isn't really one of my priorities, previous albums wasn't great for me.
>>53327317
for almost a week after Chris Potter's was released I was the only person on slsk who had it
>>53327332
Would you find it creepy if I asked what your slsk name was?
>>53327245
Do you have a link for this? Really interested in Grimes' music and would be eternally grateful.
>>53327399
it's pretty easy to guess
>>53327416
it's on rutracker
What is up my music lovers and jazz fans? I bring you the future I am trying to create with the love inspired by jazz music, and many others like classical funk and metal.

Go to track 22 and 23 for some crazy dizzy gillespie and charlie parker inspired sax solos and tonny williams inspired drums and everything. I did my best.
>>53327635
are you the same guy who posted that guitar solo a while ago?
>>53327635
I hope this didn't cost too much money to make.
>>53327839
It was made on the demo version of fruity loops for free, yes.
I post a lot of guitar solo's, so probably most likely.
>>53326587
>it's already leaked.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm downloading with certain expectation given the description
>>53327267
I never liked him very much, though I respect what he does. He just feels too cold for me. Zero swing. This album is still good, but not my cup of tea. Maybe I'll keep trying since I was intrigued by its sparseness and the ambience of the album's sound
>>53326346
the fuzzy bell end
sounds like a band
What do you guys think of the Smoke Sessions records?
This one comes out on the 10th and Steve Turre has one coming out next month
