I find this comment odd. Archers are my favourite band of the era, and Eric Bachmann is one of the best vocalists in indie rock. His vocals are one of the main reasons I enjoy Icky Mettle so much (AOT 90s for me). He has a very polished post-hardcore vocal tinge, some pop-punk delivery, but above all he's sardonic and at times demented. His voice makes the band.
