Do you guys ever blank out when people ask you about what music you like? Or do you not see it as wise to even share your music interests with people out of fear they'll have no clue who you're talking about?
I've had it before where someone asks me what music I listen to and my mind either goes blank or I find it wise to not share anything they'd find too obscure.

throwing in a bit of esoterica without specifically name-dropping, giving a range of things to glom onto because i want a conversation, not just a vocal last.fm profile, i'm personable so this doesn't come out as just aspie nonsense. typically people are interested, and i show equal respect and interest in their preferences. i also genuinely listen to a lot of stuff, so if someone is really into like current pop music or p4kcore or whatever i can usually engage them to some extent.
