I do enjoy shoegaze and dreampop, but I actually have some problems finding good "wall-of-sound" records. By now, the only records that gave me this feeling are Loveless, that one candy claws album and pinkshinyultrablast. I've listened to other albums, such as Heart by XO or soulvaki but they didn't sound like that. Any suggestion?

would it be possible, with enough pedals, to make shoegaze with a bass? I have a 5 string and a digitech tsr-12 multieffects processor and a fuzz pedal(not a very good one but it does the job)

Their early stuff is great. I liked this album because I thought it was a good attempt at pushing the genre in different directions. Even on the poppy songs, the shoegaze guitar is still there.

New Slowdive album (its basically been confirmed at this point hasn't it?), maybe new mbv, and hopefully new iris. They released a single in October last year which doesn't mean much but who knows maybe a new EP could drop.
Question to any shoegaze guitarists in this thread, I have a few pedals (Strymon el Capistan, EHX Big Muff and Cathedral Stereo Reverb) and was wondering if I could get any help with getting a good sound. I always end up making a muddied mess - is it best to keep reverb time low? What about blend? And how do I use a delay pedal effectively, there's so many options but I always end up with a Souvlaki Space Station intro.
i really hope it doesn't take 20+ years to deliver the new ep and album
