I personally don't take vaporwave that seriously where I consider it a brief glimpse into the new possibilities of international communication or a parody of American hypercontextualization I mostly enjoy it for the nostalgic smooth sounds it gives off. And the combination of the sound and cover art put images of being on the internet late at night in a isolated room which is very relaxing for me almost like music for NEETS in a way. But I will admit the creation of vaporwave is a bit lazy but I feel that the sound makes up for it (also I treat it like what it is I try to avoid being pretentious).

I think I might switch to listening to exclusively to vapourwave. I don't think you can really listen to vapourwave and other music, because vapourwave is really anti-music. Music is there to awaken and play with emotions but wavpourwave is about dampening or even crushing them. You can't really be a vapourwave fan and a fan of regular music.
