at this moment, ROAR, from Voivod
I need to face the truth... It is my favorite album since it came out.
Mr Bungle - California was my favorite until then.
>>52592361
its great, don't listen to what people on this board say. It seems most of the hate it gets comes from reasons that have nothing to do with the music, which should be ignored in the first place

>>52592677
That's a 1/10.
Hands down it's this album. It's so hard to choose, but if it has to be one I suppose it would be this one.
>>52592740
No, it's actually a 10/1.
>>52592740
I actually didn't like Lana Del Rey at first, but she does have her merits when she's not forcing edginess into her music.
Ultraviolence was a pretty good album. I just think it's kind of lame that the song writers just took various '60's pop culture things and shoved them into an album. I hear the references all over the place.
Shades Of Cool is a very beautiful track.

not really down for the album, really down for the fact that that's your favorite album.
>>52594303
I think some of the lyrics are better than Blue, but i have to be in a certain mood to listen to Pinkerton. With Blue i can turn it on whenever and wherever and i'll get a big smile and start singing along, i can't help but yelling IN THE GARAGE every single time. I just can't get the same feeling with Pinkerton, but it's still an exceptional album
>>52593124
I'm >>52594362 but this is a very close contender, as I had a very beautiful - almost religious - experience listening to it once.
"Close to the Edge" made me feel like I was being lead to a world that not everyone got to experience, and I was privileged to be let in on this place. Throughout the entire duration of the song, I felt like the track was leading me through all kinds of beautiful passages to a hazy destination. Even though it's hard to put words to it, by the time I reached "And You and I," I felt like I had reached the place where "Close to the Edge" was taking me, and for the first time in eight years, I felt like the lamination that had been keeping me from completely connecting with the current moment in my life had melted off, and I realized that all I had was what was happening right now, and I felt in love with life. Finally, by "Siberian Khatru," my spirits had been lifted so high, I just had a fucking blast listening to it. It's honestly one of, if not, the most moving experience I've had listening to an album. Amazing fucking album.
