I've been cooking up something in ableton. After so much time of trying and failing and making odd shit; a melody here and some drums there but never being able to link the two. I think I finally made something that isn't complete shit. 50% proud to say I made it. Even though it took a lot of effort it was fun as fuck; definitely made me more agile with the DAW. I'm not really sure what I'm doing and now that I think about it I forgot to master and EQ the final recording.

It emulates a string machine. Well..it is a string machine. Instead of having oscillators that change pitch, it generates every pitch. Each key has it's own envelope and oscillator. Depending on what patch you have set up, it runs all the oscillators through different filters. Lastly, it runs through an ensemble effect, which is like a light phasing.
The percussion section is like that of a hammond organ, it plays on the initial key presses, and dies off. Unlike a hammond, it will play for other notes if the first notes are being held.

Also, the keyboard is just a midi controller, all the sounds are the streichfett. The video I posted just highlighted the combo organ sounds, which aren't what the machine was made for, but combo organs work on the same principles as string machines, so it's pretty good at those sounds anyways.
