Okay, fuck everything I just said. The real inventor of electronic music was Grog, who in 65,000 BC started banging his stick against a rock in a rhythmic, synchronous repetetitetitetive motion, thereby producing the first tribal track. And what, pray tell, is so electronic about that? Well....he was struck by lighting at the time. It really gave an analogue warmth and fullness to his sound.

There. Have I done it? Is this the end? Are you satisfied now, you sophmoric, pedantic fucks?

Is your precious little electronic dork IDM history now complete for all to recognize the timelessness of your pompous, "forward-thinking" music? Are you pissed off that I left out the Ondes-Martenot or that I snubbed the mighty Ondioline or Heliophon, and you can't wait to send me a snobbish, pretentious email decrying "CONTINUITY ERROR! CONTINUITY ERROR!"?

You know, sooner or later you conceited tools are going to realize that it doesn't matter who made what or how it came out when.

The purpose of music is to have fun and enjoy it and identify with the culture that does, not to flaunt your oh-so-deep and sophisticated air of superiority like a snivelling, skinned-knee school kid who got picked last for kickball. And when that happens you're going to want to stop with the intellectual bedwetting, or else we should just keep on going and just admit that electronic music started with the motherfucking Big Bang so we can pride ourselves on how brilliant and genius we think we are (yes, that means you, Tobias).

We gotta draw the line. Where is that line? I don't know. I don't care. I think this is the first timeline I've ever seen that actually goes backwards, though. Hey, howabout that.

Flume is overrated and the original is better. Not that it was that good in the first place. Decent throwback chart tune at best.

fuck new tunes. what about the unreleased new tunes?

Feral Witchchild when
Stairwell when
True Love VIP when
Afterglow when
unreleased Rough Sleeper segment when

Lambeth feels like cheating because we've had it in full and in decent quality for ages now
>>
>>52176694
its hyperbole, but are you saying you've never heard complex abstract music that took you many listens before it clicked for you?

Aha. Dark Souls 2 wasn't nearly as good as 1 unfortunately.

>Lambeth feels like cheating because we've had it in full and in decent quality for ages now

Seriously though...
>2009: "Oi, mate. This is Benji B. Brand new and exclusive Burial tune for ya right here."
>plays Lambeth
>2014:"Oi mate, this is Benji B joined by Kode9. We got a brand new Burial tune for you. This one's called Lambeth."
>plays literally the exact same version of Lambeth as in 2009, except 20 seconds shorter

Did Benji B think we all forgot or something?

it's even more funnier that the released one is mastered like absolute shite and i'd rather enjoy the rip in its' full 128kbps hissy glory
>>
>>52176757
lmao ok so you judge all music on first listen? are you serious? what kind of music fan does that?
>>
>>52176807
Yeah, the official version was brickwalled to hell. The disortion on it is pretty bad.

And yeah the R1 rip from 5 years ago sounds much better.
>>
Does anyone know if there is some software/EQ that could zoom in on specific areas on the spectrum and be able to EQ (if possible, also cut out, pitch up or down) single bass hits?
>>
>>52176899
audacity maybe
>>
>>52176050
no one invented electronic music you idiot
>>
>>52176725
if lambeth can be released, then why can't anything else? have hope anon.
>>
>>52176941
Lambeth was already played in full. Stairwell and Feral Witchchild were only played in snippets and that was 7 years ago. They could be gone by now.
>>
>>52176899
As in, draw a box between 50-100hz in a 0.1 second length and manipulate that without affecting the rest?
>>52176916
if there's lot's of high-end then that isn't really very effective though, or how did u mean?

I guess if you were to separate the low and high end manually and mash it up together in the end but that's too much of a hassle.

i was thinking more visually, like you cut it out of pic related and mess around with it individually
