I know you said to exclude shares from the archive but I recently discovered this amazing sharethread from last year that has pretty much entire discogs for Sun City Girls, Thinking Fellers Union, Trumans Water, and many other great art-rock/RIO/new wave bands and other various genres too. It's honestly the one of the most useful threads I've ever utilized.

The point is that people are sharing their favorite music now, which allows interaction with the posters in quasi-real time. If I like what someone has posted, I can request more like it, etc. We can have a dialogue.
If I wanted to go look at a share thread in the archives, I would just do that.
