I only got to hear the first 20 minutes or so, but some of the collage you did reminded me of Two Virgins by Lennon and Ono, which was nice. However, by the 20 minute mark it was just starting to get kinda boring. I know it's drone and all, but it could be a little more exciting, but whatever, you do you and keep creating music that you personally enjoy. Besides that I also did like the arrangement of sounds on this most of the time, good job in that department.

>>62406481
I just downloaded this before checking /mu/. I'm a fan of LP1 and I have downloads of (I think) all of your releases. What made you go from a series of EPs to mashing them into a continuous-mix album? I'm curious.
I enjoy the first and second parts of Under the Storm, they're cool.
>>62406853
The intro is nice and fuzzy in this. I usually don't listen to much noise, but this is pretty cool. The track after the intro has a nice bass to it that makes provides a nice meaning or context or something to the intro. The last track is fucking insane, thanks for the warning. How do you even do this.
>>62407439
I will always recc your stuff, man.
>>62408295
Your music is very awesome! The short track times are definitely a draw for me. I really enjoy Sad Piano Piece A. Piece B would be better without the talking and just the cups and plates clinking, but that's the nature of field recordings. I Need a Break is interesting. It sounds like mallsoft/vaporwave. I feel like making it slightly disjointed (if at all possible), would make it stand apart from most vaporwave.
>>62408744
I think I listened to this quite a long time ago or at least I recognize the name of the last track, but I don't remember so I'm listening to it again. I dig it.

I liked the first track. It sounded like a movie soundtrack for a kind of low-budget indie thing involving urban settings.
The second track is not very interesting to be honest. Will keep listening

is this you? Also it's not really weird at all
>>
>>62414571
Thanks, I didn't like the second too much either, do you have any other criticisms?
>>
>>62414628
In general I would say try to get more interesting foreground stuff like the first track has. A lot of the other songs have nice elements, especially the ambient bases and a few of your rhythms, but there's not much that brings you out of the general lull-like sensation the songs elicit.

Star Knight and A Recording were the other two I liked the best because they didn't feel like three or four things layered on each other, instead the different layers seemed to interact and bits of the percussion or vocal samples would fall in and out of prominence in a way that complemented the general flow of the song.

i don't know how well remixed this is because i dont know the original songs but it sounds crisp and at the very least your choice of songs is solid. would be curious to hear stuff that's completely original material, unless i'm totally retarded and these are original and not remixes but your mentioning henry rollins makes me think this is him in the song saying Gimme gimme -otherwise u do a great henry rollins

>>62410329
oddly the intro to this first song is like the exact chord that starts a tame impala song that i really like but then the acstc guitar came in and bye bye went tame impala. you got a nice ethereal sound here. the drums & tambo coming in really drive the track in a nice way. i wouldn't mind thinning out the vocal a bit with a hi pass and a couple decibels turned down to give the instrumental some size. also my personal taste id like a bit more guitar or just less synth but thats purely a taste thing. i like the spoken word part too--evokes another tame impala song off of Currents. i like the phat synth in song 2 as well. sounds fucking huge on good headphones. you got a cool sound here, definitely unique.

>>62405138

i like the chords and dynamic crescendo opening this up (your featured track). not crazy about the pulverized vocals and drum machine but thats all taste. cool riff and tone on the acoustic in Making Friends. the distortion fits the vocal more here, it's a warmer crunch that i appreciate. im one for a powerful classical melody which is why the vocals dont immediately grab me but i can see the charm and understand its part of the aesthetic and the honesty of the song. seems like this release jumps around genres a lot which is at once impressive and distracting. it works if you consider the "lofi" umbrella to be the unifying factor. loving this "painting" sample. inspiring.

>thinning out the vocal
that's the plan. basically if I start out with a "comfortable" vocal, it ends up getting mixed too low in the final cut, but if I start out with one that feels too loud, it ends up being mixed down to a good level at the end.
The synth on the second track courtesy of pic related

>>62411465
first impression is "wow that's clean and punchy." sounds big and radio-ready, if even a bit over-compressed (like when the instrumental drops out and the vocal just gets rammed up in the mix like 10db) but thats the pop sound nowadays which you nailed. melodies are nice, texture and arrangement is nothing game-changing but again it all works to make this release something i wouldn't flinch if i heard on the radio. We Are Sentient has a cool edgy sound to it, kinda reminiscent of Fall Out Boy mixed with Billy Talent...strangely it's less polished sounding with the vocal buried behind the drums a bit but still nigh radio-ready. guitarist has some chops. would be nice to work out to this
>>

THANKS FOR THE LISTEN BUD, THAT IS HANK ROLLINS ON GIMMIE. ALL REMIXES I DON'T BELIEVE IN ORIGINAL MATERIAL.

AS FAR AS YOUR EP, I LIKE THAT YOU GUYS ARE A REAL BAND WITH GUITARS AND STUFF MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO LISTEN TO MORE MINUTEMEN AND BE POORER. ALSO HAS YOUR SINGER EVER SMOKED PCP? BECAUSE HE COULD TRY. IF THERE ARE MORE THAN THREE PEOPLE IN YOUR BAND MAYBE FIRE OR KILL THE SINGER THOUGH. YOUR WELCOME
