The Cosmic Dead - Easterfaust
really good krauty droney stuff
>>51997577
it's not their only mysterious (if by mysterious we mean lack of name on the cover)
but fuck they were quite annoying when I saw them live, it was pretty clear that they were out of their minds

Taj-Mahal travellers - Live in Tokyo 1977, it's a unofficial boorleg I bought and that, I guess, is pretty rare. I scanned the cover myself because I didn't found any on the net

mysterious albums? here's one for ya
a demo i found online by a band named しゅ~ふるまぁ~じゅ, (shu~furumaa~ju, if my minimal japanese skill serves me correctly), it's five tracks of what was described on the obscure shares blog as "clown-themed visual kei". no information about the band exists that i can find, and the only picture of the band is the ones on the front of the album.
four of the tracks are what sound like skits, featuring a menacing high-pitched clown talking about something to what sounds like a child, or at least a japanese man impersonating a child, over quiet circus music. the one actual song (the only one where the vocals are actually synced in some way with the music) is.. well, listen for yourself.

utter shite :)
>>51997732
i never said it was good, but it's definitely mysterious
>>51997623

>>51997623
ayy lmao
>>51997784
Link?
a couple years ago I remember downloading a really creepy album by "Turkish Sellar" in a sharethread
My computer crashed and I haven't been able to
find it again
>>51997803
it's free on his bandcamp
https://neonpulse.bandcamp.com/album/field-recordings-from-the-heart-station
>>51997788
that's not really obscure, I found it on a blog about four years ago and it was spammed quite a lot by a tripfag some times ago iirc
>the caretaker
>mysterious
top lol
>>51997788
I have to say I hate this album.
>>51997833
I really am digging this...do you know the artist/s?
>>51997777
Nice doubledoubles
>>51997898
I think it's one dude from australia
The last time he updated his soundcloud was about a year ago.
>>51997870
why ? considerating it was released in 1968 I find it pretty ahead of its time (or at least pretty ahead of the rest of japanese prog)
I would accord you that it is too long for what it has to offer though, I prefer listening to it in two parts like the originak 2xLP it was released on rather than listening to it in one sitting, and I'm rather accustomed to long performances / records
>>51997963
the first half of the album feels like bad japanese pop for me, the last two tracks are better.
>>51997479
>run some old records through some filters
>add vinyl hiss
>call yourself a 'producer'
Bravo
>>51998046
>get your four friends together
>have one guy whack some strings on a wooden block with a wooden plank attached
>have another guy bash out random banging sounds on an arrangement of skins stretched over various buckets
>have another guy play the same wooden block as the other guy, but with bigger strings so you can't hear him
>speak with some rhythm and melody like that's even difficult
>call yourself "a band"
>>51998030
I actually agree on this, except I don't find the first half bad, just pretty different from the second, hence the two parts listening
but maybe it was made to be listened in two parts like some soul labels used to do, side A you flirt / side B you fuck
>>51998046
lol, you don't know shit about how that record was made
>>51998109
Exactly, I'm glad we agree
>>51998140
of course I do. the caretaker is a fucking hack, and so are the morons who treat this "album" as something more than the fucking equivalent of vaporware trash
>>51998046
i dont even like that album and you're stupid
>>51998163
tell me how am I stupid
>>51998160
>"album"
oh fuck off
>>51998126
> some soul labels used to do, side A you flirt / side B you fuck
interesting, I didn't know this. I downloaded that album a year ago from a sharethread, I wonder if it was you who uploaded it.
>>51998177
barely qualifies as an album. the Hacketacker didn't even credit the original composer/musicians
>muh atmosphere
>muh "guys this albums represents people with alzheimers bla bla bla"
everything that is wrong with modern art: The Album
>>51998193
I uploaded some funk comps in sharethreads, but this one I don't think, I got it about a month ago
>>51998238
lol this guy. I wasn't gonna respond to show how much I don't care, but I changed my mind and am telling you anyway
>>51998238
>everything that is wrong with modern art: The Album
fuck off back to /v/ already
>>51998412
I'm waiting
>>51997479
how is this mysterious? it's a great album, but i don't understand how it would be mysterious, considering leyland has revealed quite a lot about how and why it was made and what it means.
>>51998457
here's my vote btw
>>51998509
yeah that little old sample of Circle is pretty spoopy
>>51998509
oh, and this
>>51998546
i want to hear the album so badly. i spent five years of my childhood in alaska, so it would mean a lot to me, especially since the first track title is a reference to a port town where i used to camp all the time.
>>51998457
OP hear
To me it just feels eerie and is very similar to The Shining's soundtrack. I didn't mean "uncompromisable" and mysterious, but just kinda abstract and eerie at times
>>51998600
i got a shortwave radio so i could listen to numbers stations but all i got was hours of sample material that i used to make an album. also, a really strange guy who talks all hours of the day on the same frequency.
>>51998238
sounds like you aren't really into contemporary art.
>>51998238
This must be bait. Everything you said is subjective, but still completely ignorant.
