You're right, but you gotta understand that the members of 1D were brought from the fucking X-Factor. When you compare their first, or even their second album to Four, you can see a HUGE progress, not only in the vocals. They are also writing their own music now.

anyway, louis and liam are the only semi talented members. based louis worked on 8/12 tracks and liam worked on 7. styles, horan, and malik can't write a song for shit and malik is the only one out of them who's actually a decent singer (plus he's the only one in the group other than liam who looks like an actual adult)
so shoutout to liam. if he had a better voice he'd be the most based member hands down but he's still p boss for actually presenting himself as an adult and contributing so much to the songwriting process of Four.

They're fucking parasites. And yes, you should be concerned about this even if you aren't from BK, as it has an immense impact on independent and DIY music throughout the country. These spaces were incredibly important to small bands, and their existence in New York was an integral to many bands "making it".
New York is a big place with a lot of attention, and fame for it's art and music scenes. These places gave smaller bands a way to break into that and enter the spotlight. Now they're gone. Fuck Vice.
