Haven't heard their first album, but i loved this album. i thought it was incredibly interesting and unique in fact, i dont see why you would call it boring. yes, its pretty soft, so? soft albums cant be good? its a part of the aesthetic...

Either you guys slept on or forgot. Really sick, better than his official album release in my opinion, excellent and unique production with some of the best verses from the likes of Rick ross, earl and vince staples. Also some lines that give me a rare out loud wholesome laugh.

This is Rocks or Cakes by Cloud Becomes Your Hand.
Super awesome whimsical blend of genres....something like avant-prog from the 70s mixed with folky stuff. Really good, released on Northern Spy, a sick record label.

Both albums were poised to be huge. Both fell completely flat.
Neither is a bad album, but they were just astonishingly meh.

it sounds like Yoshi's Sotry (N64) prog-rock. To contribute to this thread, I'll add Valentin Sip -Sigh. Kind of like Darkside's Psychic, but more ambient and no singing.

/mu/ was buzzing like a beehive when this album first leaked, then I guess pitchfantano panned it or something because all of a sudden nobody was talking about it apart from the odd off-hand post dismissing it as 'boring'
It's a real shame, because it's a great album. Not quite on YAWIAM's level, but close.
