It has way more in common with the late 90's/early 00's pop-punk radio shit than GBV. Maybe it's just too produced for me. The hooks feel pretty unnatural, as well.
And the lyrics are bad (even aside from the "You could be your own dad" line) but it's Joyce Manor so I don't know why I was expecting anything more.

Elastic Empire Coronation is an absolutely unbelievable closing track and the rest of the album is pretty great too. There are a couple weak tracks but overall it rivals the quality of the s/t and OTC albums

this album is really fucking good. It has gorgeous vocal melodies surrounded by some ambient tunes and sampled recordings from god knows where with an ample amount of distortion mixed in. It's like stripping away beauty from something pleasant like the album cover does

Boogie's "Thirst 48" is a pretty good listen. Not too much lyrically but he's got an old school vibe about him and some catchy hooks that have kept me coming back.
