Love is a stream by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma (member of Tarentel too, by the way), and a bonus album of Xela (some dude) & Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. Instead of explaining this album i'm just going to say it's a 10/10 and post the tags it has:

Sebadoh - III (1991)
>Lo-Fi Indie Rock, Folk, Indieindieindie
Sebadoh III is one of the all-time great chill records. Just put it on and let it take you on a stroll through many enjoyable indie sub-genres, from lo-fi folk, to Flying Nun-ish strummy guitar rock, to hardcore balling, and on and on and on. There is a certain warmth and intimacy to this album that was perfectly suited for listening to in the dead of winter on a car-stereo, driving around with the heater turned way up and the windows cracked. Easily one of the most overlooked 'essentials'.

>Neo-Psychedelia, Art-Pop, Singer-Songwriter
Nice earthy sound coming from My Morning Jacket bandleader Jim James. beautifully coordinated string arrangements on Actress, Of the Mother Again, and A New Life. There is also a wonderful use of the saxophone by Jim, especially the solos in A New Life and Know Til Now.

Elmore James - The Chronological Classics Blues & Rhythm Series: Elmore James 1951 - 1953 (2004)
>Chicago Blues, Rock 'n' Roll, Compilation
The son of sharecroppers, James grew up and learned to play the guitar and had hits like "Rollin' & Tumblin'," "The Sky Is Crying" and "It Hurts Me Too." He had a brilliant slide guitar sound, raw and desperate, it's perfect for letting loose the air guitar player in you.

Eddie Holman - I Love You (1970)
>Smooth Soul
In many ways Eddie Holman stands as a perfect example of a journeyman soulster. Immensely talented, he's been recording since the mid-1960s. Some killer falsetto in here, along with the soul classic, 'Hey There Lonely Girl'.

Tappa Zukie - Escape From Hell (1977)
>Dub, Roots Reggae
Probably not the most relevant title - this is far too mellow for an escape from hell, unless of course you've got a first class ticket on Rasta Airlines. Some infectious, intoxicating riddims can be found throughout. Why is dub the objectively funnest genre?

Dennis Brown - Words of Wisdom (1979)
>Roots Reggae, Dub
A perfect blend of rastafarian anthems and love songs, it's not hard to figure out why Dennis was Bob Marley's favorite singer. By the way, if your knowledge of reggae consists of Bob Marley only, this is a perfect place to start expanding. Very excellent but also accessible riddims that are raw as hell. Also, this album has Money in My Pocket, which everybody loves.

>Contemporary R&B, Neo-Soul
Modern RnB, with a deep groove, smooth vocals and a constant simmer of sexuality. Put this on whenever you wanna get it on (make whoopee) or wanna bask in the glory of Timbaland production. It's been eighteen-some-odd years, but Pony still fucking kills.

African Spirits - A Spiritual Jazz Journey Looking Back to Africa (2004)
>Spiritual Jazz
This album consists of 10 tracks that represent a spiritual jazz journey looking back to Africa: the motherland, the roots of jazz, the birthplace of black music and the ancestral origins of the musicians themselves. This is music with a message, music of substance, music that demands the listener be drawn in. It's music that you can really feel…music that moves and fulfils you, leaving you spiritually uplifted. This album is not just about selecting and bringing together a collection of in demand Jazz cuts…it's about inviting the listener on a musical journey back to Africa, back to ancient civilisation.
Includes Pharoah Sanders, Joe Chambers, Sathima Bea Benjamin, Gale Garnett, and many more.

VA - Pioneers of the Jazz Guitar (1977)
>Jazz, Compilation
This anthology features the predecessors and contemporaries of Django Reinhardt and Charlie Christian with an emphasis on the jazz guitar duet. Working within their seldom recorded solo or duet performances, master guitarists such as Eddie Lang, Lonnie Johnson, John Cali and others couple melodic sophistication with the kind of economy and restraint rarely achieved today.

The Flamingos - Flamingo Serenade (1959)
>Doo-Wop, R&B, shabob shabob-core
The greatest doo wop album of all times, not that there's a ton of doo wop albums out or anything. The use of reverb and the languid pace make it seem so grandiose and (here's a buzzword) ethereal, just wondrous. This also has I Only Have Eyes for You, which does some bizarre-ass things to the time-space continuum.

Santo & Johnny - S/T (1959)
>Surf-Rock, Easy LIstening, Exotica, Instrumental?
I'd like to start off by saying yes, this DOES have Sleep Walk in it. Sleep Walk remains one of the greatest and most melancholic tunes of all time. It will be around as long as Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" imo. The minimalist instrumentation of this original recording perfectly captures a wistful, longing feeling with some of the most soulful steel guitar playing ever waxed. This album has some incredibly dreamy and mysterious passages that only music recorded in the late 50s can conjure forth. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something that sounds like 'summer'.

Dub Syndicate - Tunes From the Missing Channel (1985)
>Dub, New Wave, Hindustani Classical
Since everybody on /mu/ loves dub (I see a bunch of threads nothing but people shouting the word dub daily) here's this great dub album. With this release, Dub Syndicate gave birth to a highly experimental technological dub sound. It ushered in a whole new genre in Dub. What has been labeled 'new roots' can trace its ancestry to this one album.

Teddy Pendergrass - TP (1980)
>Philly Soul, R&B
TP is the 5th album by R&B singer Teddy Pendergrass. The song Love TKO makes me want to raise a glass of wine with my lovely partner that I haven't found. With the Futures doing backup and Stephanie Mills doing duet and Ashford & Simpson doing their number and Cecil Womack doing himself proud, this may well be the definitive Teddy. T.P. is an album you grow into. The more you listen to T.P. the more you come to enjoy it. To me, the best tracks on T.P. are the beautiful, bedroom ballads, where Teddy Pendergrass was at his very best.

Ranking Dread - Lots of Loving (1980)
>Deejay, Reggae
Ranking Dread was notorious not only for his smooth Dancehall vocal stylings, but also his encounters with the law. Dread killed a police officer early in his career and continued to record and perform as a wanted man. He also was involved in at least 33 murders as a right-hand man of Jamaican organized crime leader Claude Massop. Dude's a murderer. Crime aside, Lots of Loving is absolutely gorgeous- showcasing Dread's endless word association inna rub-a-dub style, with great production credit from Sugar Minott and zany dub elements all over. Been jammin' this one every morning and never fails to start the day off just right.

Nic Jones - Penguin Eggs (1980)
>Contemporary Folk, English Folk Music
"Penguin Eggs" is Nic Jones' last album - his fifth - from 1980. It is traditional folk music but what makes it totally special is Nic Jones' guitar playing and his voice. The nine songs are informally excellent and as it is quite a long album, most of them are quite lengthy ballads telling tales of the seafaring life and diet (hence the album title) prospecting for gold, wicked parents, sex and of course, cross-dressing. "Penguin Eggs" was and is tremendously influential and one of the great folk albums.

Sun Angle- Diamond Junk (2013)
>psychedelic, Indie rock funky,
Exhilarating tension between beauty and chaos, propelled by artful, animalistic urgency. SOme absolutely FRENETIC drumming. “Raspberry” combines frenetic post-punk with the layered complexity of prog, resulting in a multi-headed beast of swirling guitar and clobbering drums moving at 1,000 mph. “Hypnic Jerk” is almost as frenzied, but Salas Humara’s random wails and higher-pitched harmonies add an air of effervescence to the ceaseless kinetic energy.

Karantamba - Ndigal (1984/2012)
>Psychedelic Afro-beat, compilation, Mande, Afro-Funk
A completely unreleased recording from the 80s. And it's amazing, one of the best things unearthed in a long time. Recorded live in 1984, it's a slice of incredible Gambian funk. It's raw and catchy, and I never stop to be struck when a drum solo suddenly comes in. You ought not complain when speaking about 80 minutes of ardent and heartfelt afro-funk. Highlight here is the marvelous rhythm, Gambia does it really right. It's unlikely you can get more energy out of a standard combo.

IV contains some irrefutable funk anthems virtually unparalleled in their relentless assault. "You Dropped a Bomb on Me," with its syrupy, elastic synth-bass and prodding chug, is a disarming funk masterpiece that holds its own against any other gem the genre has offered before or since. Ahmed Abdul-Malik - Jazz Sahara (1959)
>Arabic Jazz
The name of the record gives it all away: it’s a blend of traditional Arabic music and bebop/hardbop jazz. Bassist/oud player Ahmad Abdul Malik and tenor sax giant Johnny Griffin regularly played together with Thelonious Monk about the time they made this. They sound equally at home playing Middle Eastern Folk music, with a hard bop jazz groove thrown in here and there.

The Child of Lov - S/T
>Funk, Pop, R&B
The debut release for the Dutch artist Cole Williams features guest appearances from Damon Albarn and DOOM. It's the breadth of styles subsumed within and the impressively high quality-control throughout that makes The Child Of Lov such an assured and rewarding debut. He died of complications of surgery on 10 December 2013 at the age of 26, making some of the bleaker tracks frightfully tragic.

Eden Ahbez - Eden's Island (1960)
>Exotica, Spoken Word
Moments of spare minimalism, weird vocal numbers, amazing experimental dashes (such as using water and wood creaking as a rhythmic element in "The Old Boat")... this reminds me of another bearded one: Moondog. It's a masterpiece. It's completely bizarre, and deeply felt. You need to hear it, if you haven't. If nothing else, the song "Banana Boy" will brighten your life infinitely.

Orlando Silva - Carinhoso (1959)
>Bossa Nova, Samba-Canção
Silva was one hell of a singer. Here he is reworking his songs from the 30s to find new popularity with the dawn of bossa nova, a music in great debt to his technical precision and ol' time folk appreciation as a singer.

Jack Teagarden - Mis'ry and the Blues (1961)
>Vocal Jazz, Swing
Teagarden was actually still in prime form up until the time of his unexpected death in early 1964. Teagarden was not only the top pre-bop trombonist (playing his instrument with the ease of a trumpeter) but one of the best jazz singers too.

The Bellrays - Let it Blast (1998)
>Punk Rock, Soul, Garage Punk
Punk rock with female vocals and funky soul. Imagine that Black Flag, Aretha Franklin and someone from the Bruisers are jamming together. Then you can imagine what you get, what keeps me from giving this 5 stars is that MY War Era Black Flag are jamming and not the First 4 Years. But still the songs are great and Lisas vocals pull it out into greatness.

>>48656091
how do people not know how to use soulseek? i dont understand. its such a straightforward program.
you open the program, go to the search tab, input the album (or related key words), and scroll through the search results.
if you scroll to the right, it will tell you the kbps of the file, and keep close attention to what the folder is called. if the folder is the album you want, and all the songs are there, right click and select "download folder"
then to check on it, go to the "transfers" tab and wait for it to finish. when you're searching for an album, files are sorted by the "free" tab: if there is a Y, it means there are no people leeching off them so you will be next, but if there is a number, it means that many files are in front of you
its not hard to figure out and you get a whole fuckton of music that you wont need spoonfeeding to get :)
