I saw Swans the other night and my ears hurt so god damned bad when they started playing that I wanted to go home. It was an amazing show but the wrong one to take someone to who doesn't even know their music. Make sure you wear the fattest fucking earplugs you can, I wore the Etymotic Research ER20 plugs and I'm having some major tinnitus right now so definitely don't wear those. The people I was with just had some cheap fat cushion-ey plugs and they didn't have any ringing or hearing problems afterwards. Make sure you both have plugs in and maybe stay away from the PA. I honestly would not take someone who didn't like Swans to that show as they might bitch out and leave or throw a fit. Good luck OP
