Humbug is definitely their best. Really good lyricism, odd but melodic riffs, great use of effects to convey atmosphere. They sound mature and in total control of their sound. It's a shame they went downhill from there.

I was not being fair. I think it probably ranges from a 6 to a 7 so 6.5 but there are no outstanding tracks like the are on Desertshore. I like that it's a lot more darker and more minimal than before. Eno did a good job on this record. Idk I just don't feel it sometimes. I should re-visit.

Doolittle is better than Surfer Rosa

You've overrated early Unwound and underrated Challenge for a Civilized Society

EVOL and Sister are better than the debut and Confusion is Sex. I could see them being on par with Bad Moon Rising but not worse.

Washing Machine is better than you give it credit for. Thousand Leaves could probably use an extra point. NYC Ghosts and Murray St. are at least 7/10. The Eternal isn't great but it's better than Rather Ripped.

Funeral: 8/10. Can get pretty boring at periods.
Neon Bible: 6.5/10 Lyrics are slightly worse, interesting instrumentals. Album doesn't quite flow as it should. Still enjoyable for the memories.
The Suburbs: 10/10. Wonderful lyrics, wonderful instrumentals, wonderful song structure, even the interactive music videos were good.
Reflektor: 7.5/10. Arcade Fire becomes arrogant. Love the theatricality. Love the new drum-based sound. Gets boring at points.
