Q: You guys called it quits, before your tour, after gov't plates/TPTG. Why not perform those great songs live?
A: We had various problems, most of them coming from our music. We all had an agreement that with our style of music we wouldn't be able to evolve with the musical format that we had and if we kept producing this style of music, our fans would get sick of it. So we quit at our best when people loved us

A: That is a question I will not answer
Q: Will the songs on Jenny Death be more or less the same style on NOTM will will they be even more crazy experimental?
A: All I have to say is that Zach, Stefan and I have made something way different than you will expect

A: December 27th

A: When you drive a car, you control with a wheel. So the answer to your question is control
Q: What's the meaning of life?
A: I play synths and keyboards. Stefan would be able to answer that way more poetically. To me, it's knowing that you are already dead
Q: So if you don't like your old format, will you be making a new one?
A: Yes, we have two new members to the band

A: We will be relying less on samples and synths. Sadl, when Jenny Death is released, Stefan will be leaving
Q: If you were to do a cover song, what would it be?
A: We wouldn't ever rely on someone else's art

A: Mushrooms, weed and meth. No, it doesn't influence my music. I can't speak for anybody else though. I quit last year for my health

A: Stefan is working on some shit. He doesn't talk much unless we are writing and only if he has something important to say
Q: Will there be a physical release of NOTM and JD?
A: Jenny Death will but we haven't put much thought in NOTM
Q: Is the making of the music more of a group effor as in everyone is there from beginning to pretty much end of a song, or is it more like you do your individual parts then collaborate together and make them mesh?
A: Zach plays drums as loud as fucking possible and I loop synths or it and samples, and Stefan smokes a pipe of whatever he has. Then we hit record and keep what we like
Q: What is your main synthesizer?
A: I use tons of different synths in studio. I mainly use my Korg MS 20 and MicroKorg in studio. Live, I use MIDI keyboards connected to Ableton LIve
Q: What's the reasons behind the Marilyn Monroe picture on the JD cover?
A: I don't know. That's Stefan's choice
Q: Is JD and NOTM Death Grip's last album?
A: No. It's Stefan's last album

This is a pretty common thing for some musicians. I only ever listen to music when I've quit writing music for a period of time, like now, when I'm doing school. When I'm writing, and I want to make new things that aren't based on anything else, it's kind of unhealthy to go off and spend a while listening to music. He's probably listened to a lot of music but he doesn't listen. Actively.

Well for starters, Birds is arguably, and I say arguably, their best song. Also the kicker with Pillbox hat is just such an abrasive and entrancing introduction. The glass breaking and the loud pitched siren is almost a perfect representation of a lot of the album. It is more frantic instrumentally than anything they've done on other projects, and follows much less of what some might call a basic song/chorus structure. It's the most "Death Grips" album DG has made.
