I mean it'd be awesome to make a career out of it, but the whole idea of pursuing that seems unrealistic and a bit immature. I've got a lotta shit to work out regarding that kinda thing.

There's no certain universal method to learn, but something you have to know is basic fingering in scales & arpeggios. Other stuff is there too. A good start (and a boring as fuck one) is Hanon & metronome. Then, as you build technique, find some easy/short pieces to perform. If you were asking if I have some "complete method", then nope. Always focus on repertoire, etudes are just a complement. Forums are useful, too.
https://mega.nz/#!qVVHGThS!Mx8XHlMW9uE3plrgqDrbyRYzPwgv4dk3GTwSYZMx74k
There are things, however, that can only be learn from a teacher...
If you are looking for some advanced method... i would look close first on the edition of the work, then listen too many recordings, then find some tutorial/masterclass/explanation for the details, then know something about the historical context. Advanced methods of technique are available (and never ending, too)... as there is always more literature.

thank you!
it's intentional. i've heard that from a few people on /mu/ but i'm still unsure whether i want to change it. i find the secrecy / intimacy of hushed vocals interesting, when you can hear that they are singing written lyrics but you can only make some of them out.
>ok singer i guess, lyricist, kinda shitty producer, and i play guitar, bass, keyboard, and i use samplers
>a mix of shoegaze, noise pop, and experimental i guess
>only a handful, but none of them are particularly good. I do a lot of noise demos/experiments/whatever you wanna call it tho, and i like some of those
>id love to do something with it as a career, maybe if i get good at producing, but its still mostly a hobby
>I started playing guitar about 5 years ago but didnt play anything else until 2 years ago
>favourite artist are mbv, beck, flying saucer attack, medicine, spacemen 3, brian jonestown massacre, tame impala, and cocteau twins
>thats a big question, probably pygmalion by slowdive, psycho candy, or ocean rain
>I have a soundcloud but im not willing to share it haha everything on it is too shitty and ill get kekd at
