it seems like the only purpose this whole genre has is to provide perverse kicks for a particular breed of misanthropic and deviant men, even after decades of existence and growth, kicks which usually come at the expense of people in far less privileged and comfortable of a position than the positions taken up by noise artists and their audiences
this state of arrested development is saddening, because it really does seem like something with a lot of potential
even the female artists in the genre make the same shit as the male ones, there's no genuine female voices in the whole thing, no voices which work truly approach the thing from a female perspective
that's quite sad when you take into account how proudly hyper-masculine and sexist/outright misogynistic so much of noise is
for an aspiring female noise artist to play by the same rules without trying to subvert or deconstruct them feels like a betrayal in a way

i am familiar with most of these artists. i don't know why you think that the ones i posted in the OP are the only ones i've heard.
almost all their work is rooted in hyper-masculine sexualized industrial malaise, with the noise(which is one-dimensional and hellbent on nothing but being as violent and confrontational as possible) being treated as an extension of the artist's urges regarding sex and violence.
the end result is as moronic and overexaggerated as the sort of shit you'd see at your local straight edge beatdown hardcore show, just a lot of empty, misdirected male aggression being released in an ultimately sterile and inconsequential environment. it's a sonic substitute for masturbation. the fact that plenty of these artists make heavy use of pornographic and violent imagery in their work just reinforces that fact.
