Who's the most trustworthy music reviewer?
Post modern jazz.
Is it possible to make a living making drone and/or noise, dark ambient music?
It feels weird to me to think that there are Power Electronics musicians who work in Tesco or somewhere. I couldn't imagine Bizarre Uproar doing anything but make Noise music. Do you reckon their colleagues know or if they try their hardest to keep it a secret, lest it make them a social leper amongst normal folk?
>Go to store
>They only have Best Of or Greatest Hits compilations
>9 times out of 10 they offer nothing new for old fans
>Most of the songs on them are just singles, yet they rarely market them as singles collections.
Why do people stand for this bullshit? I'm fine with singles collections, New Order/Joy Division's Substance compilation albums are amazing. But most of them are so useless to listeners...
I think most people here hate them. I especially hate it when a best of has 1 or 2 new songs, so i have to get that best of to have a complete collection.
The only good conpilations are rarities collection, because the serve the purpose of gathering all the unreleased work. The Dead Kennedys rarities album is my favorite of all their albums, and the smashing pumpkins rarities albums are also superb. Queen especially is such a great album oriented band, that their best ofs just strip all that magic away.
Mylo has some new stuff out. Sounds pretty good according to these youtube clips

Crazy electronic psychedelic maximalism. There must be such a thing, right? What would be some examples? Like if Sophie was psychedelic or something.
There's many trippy rave tunes from the early days of the 90s. Unfortunately they swapped psychedelia, fun and grooves for speed and attitude, and that's about the same time I went off it all. If you're going to make music for drugs at least bother to make it freaky.
What does /mu/ think of the diminished 6th scale?
will he ever collab with grimes?
