They nearly brought psychedelia and prog back to the mainstream. Why did the media and journalists cock block them?
They did? I've never heard a bad word about the Volta.
yeah I know right? they were like the chicano linkin park idk why they never got big
Frances the Mute is amazing but they're pretentious as fuck. Not that that's objectively a bad thing but it's wehy people don't like them

Thoughts on Berklee or just going to college for music? Does it expand creativity or does it force musicians into the box academia wants them to be in?
Nice loaded question from a person who doesn't know a single thing about colleges of music
Also Berklee will accept anyone if you cough up. Not saying there aren't talented people there but plenty aren't.
Learning music theory limits your creativity because you can't do things that are outside the theory. You should learn blues scale on guitar and just jam out.

id recommend going to art school if you want to make creative music. berklee or some other music school if you want to have a music career-- ie a session musician, sound engineer, or want to make jingles or very commercial music.
How old were you when you realized NLDW was Death Grips best album?

By bands or ?? ?
I want to get involved in my local scene. I want to produce avant-garde music, be friends and form bonds with other local avant-garde musicians, and be cognizant of nearby events and trends, no matter how obscure. I want this for the present and the future.
However, the only instrument that I'm at present adept with is the clarinet. Though in that regard my talent is quite formidable, I'm not entirely convinced of the instrument's weight in the experimental scene, at least its weight at present.
What are some experimental applications of the common...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Its a wind instrument so just look to all the avant greats like Zorn and Evan Parker and apply the dynamics they use to the clarinet. Braxton plays it occasionally as well and pushes it functions. Parker's electroacoustic ensemble uses them in interesting ways too. Git gud and people will want to play with you
Buy an ewi or join a free-jazz band
>>65483921
are you aware of any experimental/free recordings featuring the ewi?
Why does this album get hate, it's a well composed, ambitious album
>>65483822
generic nu-disco revival album that has some cool bangers desu but otherwise nothing special
>>65483822
I fucking loved it, my favorite Daft Punk album, I listen to it frequently
It is just a well polished turd

Take your /tv/ memes and go have fun with them in the playground down the road.
It's summer, you should be out playing with your friends, not shitposting on a taiwanese wood carving forum.
No, we already have Carly Rae Jepsen, but thank you.
I want /tv/ to leave

The human "experience" is a collective of emotional experiences and events, with the emotions experienced in each event different to the individual, but usually follows a rough pattern of opposites.
For depression and isolation, Spiderland.
For nostalgia and joy, Long Season.
For bittersweet happiness, Since I Left You.
For cynicism and urban paranoia, TVU and Nico.
For existential fear and lack of identity, OK Computer.
For pure anger and loss of control, The Downward Spiral.
