What's /mu/'s final verdict on this album? Indie trash or something greater?
A lil more than indie trash
P. Lit
More Forever21Core?
>>66497986
Enjoyable indie trash, their second album is just trash.

holy shit
Its weird how on Kanye's album he is kind of bowing down to him but he ended up surpassing him imo
>>66497836
surprisingly accurate
the album literally is "holy" shit
>>66497877
i mean yeah, months before his first big release he should want to give one of the best verses of his career.
but as an artist he has a long way to go before being on kanye's level
Also NMH of course
Obligatory
this band fuckin sucks. why /mu/ like this shit again?
>bland music
>beatles ripoff
>"muhh drugs xD lol so trippy!"
FUCK OFF
Lonerism was great
Their first was not bad
Third was disaster
>>66497725
Lorenism is boring as shit. theres like 2 good songs in it
I think they're pretty boring, mediocre and samey sounding production too
"Nice drums" on the first album though

I'm in a shitty situation right now, halp /mu/
I joined this band almost four years ago, we released an album, we're playing pretty big festivals lately and things are generally looking good.
The problem is I don't really like our first album, I had hopes other members would grow up musically a little bit, but they are in the same mindset and they refuse to try anything else, so the new material is pretty much Album1-v2.0.
BUT they are also my only real friends, and we're like brothers, everywhere but in the rehersal space, when it gets...

can you link me to your first album?
>>66497548
prove you're right to the band by writing a bunch of really good songs on your own, and see if they want to play them.
>>66497570
I'd like to keep it as much anon as possible, sorry
>>66497619
Did that, even made a home recording setup so it actually souds decent, they just kinda ignore most of it (the drummer always comments stuff tho, even if he doesn't like it)

I want a new DG album this year
>>66497385
how much did you 'move forward' since then, anon?
Which is worse?
Neofolk that pretends to be martial industrial, or power electronics that pretends to be martial industrial?
I mean how hard can it be to just program a marching beat in your drum machine, loop a sample of your favorite German symphony and sing in a macho voice over it? That's literally all that's required to make martial industrial, and yet there's plenty of fuckheads who think that a WW2-themed album art and Hitler speech samples are enough to instantly turn their harsh noise farts and acoustic wankery into martial industrial.
But,...

No, we need to go deeper. I want vaginal juice special edition vinyl gatefolds. I want bras covered in spew from a wild night at The Brits. We need to sexualise pop stars MORE, find little whores who are willing to do anything just to sell records. And actually make the music sexy too.
why would either pretend to be martial industrial when both neofolk and PE are better than that?
>>66497217
I don't fucking know man but there are tons of neofolk and power electronics that market themselves as martial industrial.
Is it suppose to sound like *that*?
>>66496853
Recordings were very expensive in those days. Jazz wasn't a top priority in the 60s either.
>>66496853
like what?
>>66496853
yeah its a deconstruction of jazz music theory
What is it about The Smiths that normies love so much?
And why has it taken them nearly three decades to discover them?
500 days of summer
>>66496830
Probably it. That and their epic funny quote hero Noel Gallagher constantly praising them.
>>66496816
Normies like them because The Smiths are known for being quirky and unique so it gives people a sense of individuality
The recent surge is because modern pop culture is based mainly around nostalgia.
Also fuck you, they're really good
rec, rate, assume etc.
