Most art historians agree that videogames aren't art. Well, if a medium that contains music isn't artistic, how could music by itself be artistic?
Even if the video games themselves aren't art, each and every individual asset within a game is art.
For example, the character model is art. The music in the games is art. The writing in the games is art.
It might not be high art, but those are all recognized artistic mediums. I can't see a single valid argument for these assets individually not being art aside from "it's not good enough for me" which is a whiny non-argument.
I can't stop listening to this album. It's almost all I've listened to in the last few weeks. I try to listen to other albums, but there's always a pressing desire to return to this; it reaches a point where I can't focus on whatever else I'm listening to.
I feel it's having a negative effect on my psyche. I saw my ex recently and she was repulsed by my compulsive and aggressive behavior and I attempted to explain my mindset over the last month or so and she said it was the record's fault for my personality's deterioration.
