Post bad habits you have while creating your own music. Compositionally, live performance settings, producing etc

yeah i know, that's so common, it's like why even bother posting? does it make you feel special?
Since when any of us create our own music?
Since when any of us care about music?
everything ends up being in the key of A, even when i try specifically to avoid it
what's /mu/s favourite albums for easy listening? Personally I've always been a fan of Kid A but lately I've popped this on a few times when i want to relax.
pretty much any jangle pop album
Or anything by them
I pop some dub techno, pic related is so relaxing. Huone is a great track.
Where am I supposed to get electronic music recs? Especially for less popular genres like jungle, glitch or EBM. Last.fm is awful, RYM is pretty useless, /mu/ is full of clueless noobs who only know the top 4o and p4k approved stuff and /bleep/ is full of dumb smug elitists who circlejerk shitty underground techno singles.

Why is their by far worst album regarded to be their greatest?
cus their fanbase is 15 year old girls
>>65678867
>Not suck it and see
It's got great singles but too much filler. If the whole thing was as good as the first 4 tracks it would be their best.
>>65678867
Is this regarded as their best? Everyone I see who talks about them regard either of their first two as their best, and they'd be right.

Just listened to The Seer for the first time.
Absolutely loved it.
Very atmospheric and chilling. I loved all of the tracks and they worked perfectly together to create an amazing mood. Glad I listened in the dark.
I got the vibe that it was about almost some kind of hunt, where a man is trying to seek refuge from something (probably a wolf), so at the end of CD1 where it ends with tranquility, he's at peace. Then, it continues this calm mood, then at the end of The Apostate, it just goes absolutely nuts with percussion, which is where he's been...

Youre fucking stupid
Hemispheres is their best, or maybe second to 2112.
Also fly by night is at least high tier, and counterparts is mid-tier
>>65678374
Also signals had subdivisions, which should boost it into low tier
I've been looking for a legitimate answer to this question but all I ever seem to find is "You can do anything if you just believe!" which just doesn't sound quite right to me.
I want to learn an instrument but it seems like anyone who is even remotely decent at it started when they were very young and have always been doing it.
yeah sure why the fuck not
You won't play in competitions or shit like that but you can get good
>>65678306
I mean it depends what you're planning to do with it. You probably won't end up playing in the Wiener Philharmoniker if you pick up the violin at 35, but you can still get pretty good if you put your heart into it.

I've started playing guitar 3 months ago. At 25.
I can do barrè now and I can sing some song. I fuck up here and there, but it's been a lot of fun.
I wont be the new Jimmy Page, but I can do a pretty mean cover of April 8th by NMH, so...
yeah you can do it.
"I was pretty much the only kid I knew who was into music. Most of the guys I went to school with were just interested in drinking, fighting, and chasing girls. I felt so different that I wondered for a while if I was gay. The whole experience left me with a deep-seated hatred of the American macho male. I like being around women and homosexuals."
i like him even more now
I agree.

Its rap or instrumental, then its all the same.
Post songs from genres you genuinely hate that you actually really really love.

I hate metal. Hate it. All of it. Hate emo, screamo, nu metal, black metal, speed metal. All of it is faggoty shit.
However, I fucking LOVE Fear Factory (not all of it, but alot of it). Obsolete, Digimortal and Archetype are some of my GOAT albums. Early Fear Factory has this Terminator/80's/Cyber punk feel that is just super fucking aesthetic for me.

Fear Factory is/was good because they were a metal band influenced by shit like Depeche Mode instead of other metal like Black Sabbath etc.

/mu/ do you dislike Led Zeppelin just because of the whole 'le wrong generation' shit?
>>65677980
No. I dislike them because they're generic, cheesy, ripoff merchants
>>65677980
yes, this is the reason most here dislike ZL
same reason most /mu/ kiddies hate the beatles too
Yes, as well as rockists who hate them for """""plagiarizing"""""" traditional blues and folk music.
