I liked it when I was a teen, and I don't mean that in a condescending way. It was important for getting me into music and I do think it's a well constructed, well written album. Probably a combination of overplay, and just how fucking godawful they got, have put me off over the years and I haven't listened in a long time as a result. Feel the same about Absolution.
I keep seeing everyone redoes the same statement on Muse's discography being shit after the first three albums.
Can anyone actually say what was wrong with albums like Drones and 2nd Law?

what does /mu/ think of her?
I'm really suprised this album isn't being discussed more. The production is amazing, ingrained in old west coast G-funk but it still feels so fresh. Definitely contender for best rap album of the year, I don't see much competing with this.
I guess we gotta wait for the Pitchfork 9.1 and Fantano's strong 8 to come in before people start noticing
What are your guilty pleasure songs /mu/?
discuss this fact.
Linkin Park are one of the worst things to happen in the history of the world.
What non-Blue and non-Pinkerton Weezer albums are worth listening to?

ITT: stealth buttrock
What's stealth buttrock?
Basically it's buttrock that's wrapped up with an indie varnish that allows pseuds to pretend the music they're listening to wasn't made to be background noise for chugging beers or singing along in a stadium
Starting with an obvious one
I was thinking of asking this girl I know to go to a Brian Wilson concert with me in a couple weeks. Is this a good idea, or is the concert going to be disappointing?
What do you guys think of /mu/'s top albums of the 90s?

What does /mu/ think of "Colours"?
Every new leak just reaffirms that I want to listen to the whole fucking album and not tiny little snippets.
Sounds great, anyway.
Didn't the Avalanches say that this album was a lot harder and partier than SILY? So far pretty much everything has been nearly dream pop except Frankie.
well, we still have more than half of the album left to hear. either way, love what i'm hearing so far. Colours sounds absolutely beautiful.
yes, in some way or another.
