It just has this simplistic childish sound I can never get over
All I can bear is hip hop
Most mainstream metal, pop and rock have this tacky sound that just doesn't sound attractive
It's so distinct that you just know what decade it's from just by listening to the melody and not focusing on the sound of the instruments
Any thoughts?
Fucking auto complete with the subject

You are false-flagging in order to make people hate 80s rock.
And /mu/ will take the bait. Not so much because they will believe that you aren't false-flagging, but because they're looking for any excuse they can get to express their distaste for 80s rock.
offhand I think It's So Easy has held up pretty well

Alright, /mu/, let's throwback to the 90s back when hating niggers was cool.
You remember these dudes? Pantera was top of the board, boys - you didn't like them, that meant you were a fag.
Luckily, i'm hoping the people here appreciate good old axe playing.
Pantera sucks
>>65851724
>the 90s back when hating niggers was cool
but the 90s is objectively the only decade to produce decent hip hop
>>65851724
GOD I FUCKING HATE NIGGERS.
FUCKING FREE LOADING AND ALWAYS COMPLAINING EVEN AFTER GETTING REPRIMANDS.
FUCKING LAZY ASSHOLES WITH BIG LONG SHLONGS.

ITT: Bands/artists you really hate
For me, I hate the beatles
>>65851139
I'm not very fond of them either. I don't think there's a single Beatles song that I really enjoy.
I really hate Kanye West, and most rap in general.
>>65851139
How could you possibly hate a face like this?
I've always hated the who,,,shitty drummer, stupid corney songs especially their early stuff and bad guitar solos...i think they were one of the first punk bands which makes me hate them more.
Name a band who had an entire career based on one Beatles song
Swans - I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Dear Prudence
the cast of Across the Universe
Has anybody ever heard a song by Godhead that wasn't Eleanor Rigby?

Any overarching themes or anything?
>>65850846
its over Joseph won
>>65850846
there is none. as much as i love swans, these albums are usually nonsense that sounds cool and sounds cohesive. that said, it's not a bad thing that there really is no significant narrative and is just meant to sound connotatively written. gira himself has no real answer when asked about the narratives of these albums. it's usually just vague and something about the universe.
The Seer is an album with spoopy lyrics and spoopy sounds. To Be Kind is about love and human nature. The Glowing Man is a career retrospective. You can go deeper but not too much deeper.
Does this help me make music?
