Fuck. But he likes 10x better music than every other kid his age. I appreciate how much he values music that young.
How Do I Into Funk?

you can find some advice in archived funk threads : https://archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/thread/S65701389

not OP but thanks
I listen to more g funk but i do look up the samples they use sometimes. A lot of it is semi long form jamming music. Just put it on when you're in the mood. The most famous bands have a lot of material so you won't run out. just start with some parliemnt, isley brothers, ohio players etc
If you actively dislike this man then you are an idiot
you are an idiot

that's fine, I only passively dislike him
I don't actively dislike him but I do dislike him. Actively disliking anything so minor is dumb.

Do most people disregard The Dear Hunter because of its name?
>>65860750
I like most modern prog but never got into them
this might be a weird question but do you guys have any music that has made you jump? not like house of pain jump but like jump scare jump.
when the full band kicks in at around 8 minutes into Frankie M, it scared the shit out of me the first time I heard it.

Mass V by Amenra.
the songs start off very quiet and slow, and when everything kicks in (they are VERY heavy atmospheric sludge) it has scared the piss out of me multiple times

>>65860783
Yeah but to say it's "woke" is wrong because we've already been 'woke' by it.
Thoughts /mu/ ?
I like it. Not sure if it's my favorite of the songs we've heard yet but it's definitely getting me more pumped for the album.
Real good, man.
why'd they reupload colours
How the hell do you play this thing?
Learn music theory senpai
You place your fingers on the white and black rectangles (known as keys), and by pressing on the keys they move a hammer that strikes strings within the instrument.
You can play multiple "keys" at once or in succession to creat what is known as "music"
if you press every key at once it unlocks and hands you the instruction manual
My dad really liked bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns n' Roses and all other kinds of dadrock and he believes there's no good music being made now, when he said that I was going to list off a hundred different artists but realized they probably aren't what he likes to listen to.
What's some newer music I can show him that he'll like?
Your dad? Are you like really old or something? LOL. Linkin Park is dadrock nowadays.

Pls don't bully me or my dad.
Chickenfoot
/mu/ helps me understand Death Grips. Are they actually genius or they just getting all the hype because they sound different? I am not a fan of rap or hip hop and I actually don't like majority of Rap at all. I usually like only particular rap songs. I listened to some popular songs from Death Grips (Guillotine and some) and I liked them aesthetic voice. I like how his voice sounds and the production is at least somewhat new than I have heard on other rap songs. I have a hard time understanding their lyrics though because English is not my first language and I read that...

decide for yourself, music is subjective
>>65860117
dude I wrote that entire thing explaining why I can't decide for myself. I just need a new perspective. Don't give me that philosophical shit.
>>65860100
Not my favorite band but i have huge respect for their consistency. Every album they've made sounds different than the others, yet maintains the very high quality standart. I don't care much about MC Ride or his lyrics, but i absolutely adore the production.
Post the review scores of your favorite album
