Thinking about going to a Boris show. Anybody know how loud the band is live? Wanted to know if earplugs were at all necessary.
just bring earplugs and put em in if they're loud, idiot
>>65872932
I haven't listened to any of their newer material so I was wondering if that stuff was loud, and if it wasn't there's no sense in bringing them
Get drunk and rush the stay. You will become the loudness. Rock and roll crazy nights.
why is Lou Reed's guitar playing so lack-luster on this album? was it intentional? his solos just straight suck sometimes, but people praise him constantly - especially on TVU&Nico

senpai
Yes it was consciously made to be anti cleanliness and raw compared to music of that era and preceding it. That's why it was a landmark record

Are you not able to into noise and/or dissonance
If swans is an entry level group where do i go from here

Anyone here unironically like Yung Lean?
I'm not kidding when I say I like his music more than Kendrick or Drake or anything like that. I don't know what it is. Hoover, Solarflare and Kyoto are my fav tracks.

post some bangers
>first song "I go broke rob fools for their jewelry"
>last song "we dont give a fuck, police get away with murder"
Is he retarded? also, is NWA retarded?
still catchy tho
This album was so boring. Just pseudo 90s "g-rap" over generic g-funk. Sure the production wasn't complete shit, but that's because we haven't had a decent G-funk album since the late 90s. His lyricism is ass and on the whole it's uninteresting. The whole album seemed to be going somewhere, then it dropped off quickly after he started rapping about getting shot. The whole political thing was laughable as well and he contradicted himself more than he gave a defendable argument. It was a mess.
And this is coming from someone who liked My Krazy Life.
He's black, you can only expect him to be borderline retarded desu.

Any good music docs, bros? Birthday's at midnight and I wanna watch a comfy doc.
>>65872686
>until the light takes us
That was a good one
You've probably already seen it, as he's pretty popular in this board, but The Devil And Daniel Johnston was pretty great.
My all-time fav is still The Beatles Anthology documentary series.
Happy birthday dude! :)

Alright /mu/,
I'm a pleb when it comes to music and I'm fairly new to this board, so I need you guys to tell me how to get started and how to advance from my favorite album, OK Computer.
Listen to Kid A. It is vastly superior. Also, listen to The Bends. It is also good and will give you a nice perspective on OK Computer. Infact, listen to Radiohead's discography, skipping Pablo Honey if you like, but I do think Pablo Honey is a good reference point for understanding the band's progression. Listen to a lot of music, but to easen your load of music, try to filter through the album's with highly unnatractive covers, as bad covers are a sign of of bad music. The artist who approves a bad cover likely isn't in a creative swell.
Listen to Faunts - M4.
Radiohead expanded on my musical taste but Faunts blew it open wide.

Thanks for the reply. I got a few songs into The Bends but never got the opportunity to finish it, but I had liked it so far. However, I have yet to listen to Kid A, but I definitely will. And thanks for the tip about album covers, I see it coming in handy in the future.
>>65872335
Will do.
any Tame Impala fans??? I really enjoyed Innerspeaker, Lonerism, and Currents. highly underrated
>>65872175
Currents was OK I guess, Lonerism was fucking rad as was Innerspeaker.
Okay, Starbucks. Sure thing - they are underrated. Sure.
>>65872200
see i feel like currents just requires a few solid listens to really soak it in.
How have these two fellows affected your life?
>>65872040
These guys have inspired me to write music. I can honestly almost relate with every single song Tyler Joseph has written. He has truly help me find some inspiration. Along with me overcoming my depression. I have struggled trying to play instruments. As the guitar had one for years, but it just wasn’t me. I always though the drums would be something I would be great at, but I have truly seen the best way to express my thoughts with music on a keyboard. So I thank both for making amazing music

ok so im christian, but im also gay. i have frequent struggles with my mind that leave me crying at 1 am because im not christian enough. im not straight. my attraction to girls makes me an outcast of the church. its gotten so bad that ive contemplated suicide. one time i was extremely close. i had the method. it was very plausible. i could have done it. i could be dead right now. however, lovely by top was playing in the background. right as i realized what i was about to do, i heard the lyrics “wont you stay...

Explain to me how this is music, /mu/?
Explain how it isn't music.
You're a retard. Kill yourself.
sounds arranged by the artist
What are your opinions on her? Is she any good, /mu/?
body of work
Dull and a little edgy (aka style over substance) but she's decent. She's like a weak Lana Del Rey with no star power.
she is ok :)
