>That feel when The Hills by The Weeknd is the #1 song of the 2000-teens
Who is the lady John Fahey? I really like a lot of his albums. I know there are some other men who play in similar styles (Robbie Basho, Jack Rose, etc) but are there any female guitars that play a mix of american primitive, drone, and eastern influenced guitar music? There must be some out there, usually they're just a little harder to find.
which is the best
>Last line of the first song on the album
>Last line of the last song on the album
Does it sum up your favorite album, /mu/?
>You could not contain me
>Because I cannot contain you
are you guys excited for the new Jason Aldean this september? you think he'll top OBND? will it leak soon? discuss
Who are objectively the most morally reprehensible musical figures?
>(not John Lennon)
Can /mu/ into the Ramones?
Is rock dead?
In the top charts it is. However, it's pretty alive in most places. The common radio listener has too short of an attention span to listen to any form of rock. However, there is a degradation of quality in the underground scene. All we can do is hope for a new ground breaking band to bring it back.
I was considering to start work on an EP. I was met at a crossroads because I can produce Frank Ocean style RnB/pop and I like that but I think I would rather write distorted noise pop. What should I do? Make something I really like or something that will get me appeal.
What does /mu/ think of my top 50?
Also feel free to post your top 50s and discuss.
What makes an album groundbreaking, and what albums do you think deserve the 'groundbreaking' label?
op here. thank you for enjoying the chart!
zach's badass imo, astrological straits blew my mind when it first came out, but i could see why some people would see it as needlessly technical and tedious.
cromagnon's just so fucked. caledonia alone made me feel like it belonged on there, albeit low on the chart.

why do they keep getting deleted
ITT: We post a band's gimmick and others try to guess the band.
also I unironically like her music
ITT: Musicians who are incredibly talented but rarely show the full extent of it.
Why do people that rag on EDM and dubstep always claim their music is better and then never offer any substantial examples
I literally have yet to see an example where someone shows me classic and minimalist electronic music that is more interesting or enjoyable than its equivalent in a song by someone like Skrillex
It isn't better because it's more underwhelming
wow that was hard
