Come in and find out as it's time for /bleep/ general. Post what you've been into recently.
rip /bleep/
I'm looking for a good synth for pads for under $500
what do?
i play slacker-rock ish sorta stuff and want a synth with good ambiance behind it
my itunes crashed and i didn't back it up, so i lost 60k songs that i don't feel like sorting out again, i've been listening to a mixture of kpop kid rock and jazz.
uh ya my blog deal with it this threads dead as fuck anyway
>is vatican shadow the memeist meme artist to ever live?
he literally just copied muslimgauze in concept and partially sound, nothing wrong there but he can't help but get away from his edgy political titles where the songs literally have nothing to do with them, as he used to regularly...

In this thread we discuss GOTH, INDUSTRIAL, DARK NEW WAVE/POST-PUNK, and WITCH HOUSE
/darkshit/ thread general
I'm gonna listen to some Death In June after this Disembowelment album.
Oh hey look it's the Nosferatu Man.
Been re-listening to a lot of EBM/Futurepop lately like Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, And One, Covenant etc as well as some of the harsher, weirder industrial like yelworC, 3Teeth, Youth Code and Skinny Puppy
I don't get how it's considered a "dead" genre or how the new stuff is thought of as "revival". I own a Skinny Puppy shirt and one of the most common comments I get on it is "are Skinny Puppy even still around?" (>tfw they recorded a new album just last year)
more bleeps. more production.
bleeproduction. just the best.
If anyone makes chillwave, please link me your soundcloud or w/e

We need to come up with cutsy Chinese cartoons to match our synthesizers like those headphone weirdos.

II: The Final Option is their best album
/bleep/ general
New Scuba sounding good but it reminds me a bit of the tense music from Ace Ventua when he's at the boatyard.

Is /bleep/ dead? Anyway, first for Ripatti.
Calyx & Teebee FabricLive was really good for the first half and then pretty boring for the second half. Good mix though but not better than Elijah & Skilliam's that came out before it.
mSdoS - Oldschool Stories Part 1 came out recently and is some pretty good Jungle.

Impossible
Let's make up genres and if one of them actually exists let people know. You know the drill.
>psychedelic grunge
>surf rap
>lo-fi funk
>reggae punk
>synth-sludge
>chiptune reggae
>blackened hip-hop
some clash songs could be classified as punk reggae. a lot of second and third wave ska, like sublime, could be seen that way as well.
I don't get it. Are you just making up "funny" genres or are you actually interested in finding a specific style of music?
there's actually a pretty big niche for dub-chiptune

How does this math chart look, /mu/? Anything you'd replace with something else?
I'm not totally thrilled with the bottom row
>>48234184
those are albums not math
source: several years of math
>>48234193
Good catch, I'll keep that in mind
there's gotta be a better jap math record than 3nd's World Tour, that album is really more towards post-rock imo. té would be a step up i think
also Auto!Automatic!! is pretty boring and i would replace it with The Bulletproof Tiger
what are some bands that have the same kind of intensity as death grips? I normally dont listen to music like this but have been craving it for the last few days
already downloaded Damaged and My War by Black Flag
more plz?

Butter 08 - S/T (1996)
>Alternative Rock, Noise Rock
If you ever need to get a grip on just how uncool you are--how uncool we all are, really--all you need to do is get your hands on this little gem and give it a spin. Butter starts out with a bang with the hard rocking "9mm"--which includes a brilliant guitar solo--and ends as loudly with the hip-hop laced "Butterfucker". In between are ten energetic tracks that never let up on the great grooves, keyboards and guitars. If you can't be cool, it's at least nice...

Eh who the fuck am I kidding, this is my album, Its basically unfinished, planning on releasing an completed version later in the year, but its more than listenable I think.
old thread died, here's a new one
should I get a microkorg XL+ as my first synthesizer?
>>48229700
What should I get then?
Bringin' it back!
If you could only own one sub-$1000 analog synth, which would it be and why?
first for anthony fatano.
could anyone explain to me wtf the difference is between analog and digital, sound-wise?
i dont understand the point of spending so much money on analog when we have things like U-he's Diva and midi controllers with plenty of knobs to fuck around with. and even with VA's, can people really even tell the difference after applying fx, eq and compression?
i don't get the hype
MS-20 by a landslide
What bands have you been digging lately?
I've really been enjoying Colossamite and Polvo lately
This is my favorite math rock album of all time. So beautiful
They should release a new album later this year too
>>48211497
Honestly I was never the biggest fan of this. The vocals and lyrics are really weak and a little tacky, while the rest isn't anything terribly interesting
The drums are nice, though
Been getting back into pic related recently. I can't get over how fucking amazing Damon's drumming is.
Better than What Burns Never Returns.
Anyone saw this?
Is it worth watching?
Also good Music Documentaries Thread.
Nobody gives a shit about your fucking shitty meme rap.

I saw it OP. Very good, you'll like it if youre an OM fan. It changed the way I viewed Kevin Barnes
