DUBS DECIDE A GENRE EACH
here's what we have so far:
No musician feels thread? Let's fix this up
>tfw trying to make a lot of different stuff
>tfw end up to trash everything
>tfw can't find my own style
How do you cope with these feels? I've tried to do some acoustic stuff, it sounded good but it didn't feel mine, I tried post-rock but it was shit, black metallish songs sound too generic and I always end up doing random harsh noise because fuck all. I lack inspiration.
>tfw drummer for like 3 different people's music
>tfw none of it is music i want to play on my own
i just want to be in a proper mathy noise band, i just want to hit bang the drums as hard and fast as i can for as long as i can. considering starting to do solo drum stuff, but i'm not quite good enough yet, a.k.a i'm not even close to good enough
Can any anons hook me up with some more middle-school core?
when were you in middle school
my 'middle school core' would be like, fucking eminem and 50 cent
which isn't exactly what you're looking for
then again, a lot of the music i listened to in high school came out when i was in middle school

There was a thread on here yesterday about this chick so I checked her out and then I came all over my keyboard. I actually dig her music a ton.

Why do so many electronic music duos also happen to brothers?

recent purchases, lads?
What is an avant-teen? I hear it used as an insult all the time to people, and I'm wondering why it's a derogatory term. Does just enjoying certain albums make you an avant-teen? Do you have to act a certain way to be an avant-teen?
For example, I really like Trout Mask Replica (It's one of my all time favorites) and I'm frequently called out for being a mallgoth, avant-teen, or other terms like that. And I don't even act arrogant about it- I'm sometimes called out for just mentioning how much I like it.
>Does just enjoying certain albums make you an avant-teen?
Enjoying? yes. You should be appreciating them. If you actually enjoy (instead of appreciate_ TMR you have just convinced yourself of that.

What're you working on this week?
a follow up project to a concept album:
ive gotten a method of working on this type of stuff and im hoping i can finish it in a short amount of time. Ive started out with alot of frames that i will eventually have to go back and fill it in. Im also worried about mixing, i try to use less but after long periods i start to get sidetracked from it. I end up working with headphones and then maybe hook...
