I just discovered this genre and I'm trying to understand if I really like it or not.
Started with "Black Sands" from Bonobo and got his complete discography.
Suggestions for new songs/artists?

If you haven't given Tycho - Dive a listen then you are in for a treat.
I have been listening to Moderat a lot lately--not sure if they count as triphop but their two albums shuffle well with bonobo and tycho.
Moderat "Bad Kingdom" https://www.youtube.com/v/I1gewNVv1UY
Tycho "Dive" https://www.youtube.com/v/Z6ih1aKeETk
Siriusmo "Idiologie" https://www.youtube.com/v/7mdpz5z8I4I

Bad Kingdom gives me chills every damn time. If the bass doesn't get you the imagery will. I can't tell if it makes me happy or terrified.
Can we get a 2014 sharethread going? I'll start with some of my favorites

What do you think about the future of music technology?
I am surprised how for the most part we don't see many new electronic instruments getting created or used. I mean, for the most part, electronic music has kind of retreated into the computer where everything is programmed. I wonder how it could be made more like traditional music allowing for better integration with the body. When you see someone play say, a guitar, they are doing a kind of dance and responding to other people usually in real time. I feel like that is mostly missing in electronic groups where...

Thats purely an image thing. Has no effect on the music.
Allen Linn's Linnstrument seems like it could be a cool breakthrough in controllers.

Post depressing live performances.
Bonus points for crying
I saw Guster
>>49139630
Guster?
I can't find it but there was a Nine Inch Nails performance of "Something I Can Never Have" that was played right after Trent's grandmother (who raised him) had died and he breaks down crying half-way through the song.

Seriously, what happened to good old 'Fuck The System!' punk rock?
It's not like there's a lack of inspiration on the news.
Are there any current punk bands that are political and good?

Listened to one of Trim's new mixtapes the other day and he's just shit now.
Pic related was pretty good.
Hybris have released two EPs on Invisible this year so maybe there is an LP coming from them later on it as well.
Phace is meant to have a new 12" coming out but god knows whether it will be any good or not since they went full dumb after releasing that LP on Divison as Neosiognal.
Also this might be one of the few things on TTT that I actually like: https://soundcloud.com/the-trilogy-tapes/rezzett-zootie
Post your favorites from each one (starting whenever you want, I omitted 50s because I still need to hear lots of stuff) and discuss with us, you'll have a good time.

I can never do these, I always forget albums and just have a hard time remembering years that albums came out in general
I knew I'd get an opportunity to use this again.
Pretty nice taste, OP, especially your 60s and 00s.
