Probably 90% of the music in my library incorporates guitar in some way. The rest of it is mostly jazz or electronic.
Recommend me music without any guitar in it. The more obscure the instrumentation, the better. I want marimbas, recorders, tamboura, tribal drumming, whatever you can throw at me.
Pic related, I want stuff like this.

What's your favorite experimental duo featuring a prodigal drummer and screaming homeless art school dropout? Mine's Lightning Bolt

I'm looking for depressive, moody, pessimistic music that expresses that life is worthless. Music that has a strong why-should-I-give-a-fuck attitude? Loud rock and metal seem to be the most typical outlets for this kind of music, but if someone knows something a little more novelty that would be great. Something that tries to stomp optimism and cheer would be great.
by the way that image was cropped by kikes, the soldiers are defending them.
>Giles Corey - s/t
>Just what you are looking for, dark folk about history and suicide
>also Dan's more famous project, Have A Nice Life - Deathconsciousness

Hailu Mergia - His Classical Instrument
>Ethiopian synth-jazz, sounds like the soundtrack to a Genesis action-adventure game taking place in the ancient Ethiopian empire
Psarantonis - I Reckon
>amazing Greek multi-instrumental virtuoso, like a counterpart to Moondog, Hermeto Pascoal or Roland Kirk, but still strongly based in traditional Greek sounds and instruments. Superb!
Nils Lindberg - Sax Appeal / Trisection
>top tier swedish cool jazz, packed with incredible soloists and great original compositions, one of the truly classic albums of its time!
ITT we post dream genres, others find music that matches them
Industrial Sludge Metal
Afro Cuban Djent
Avant Garde Chiptune
ITT: The most disingenuous genres/subgenres/microgenres and/or their fanbases on the planet
I'll start with some obvious ones
Midwestern Emo Revival and Skramz
Pretty much everything in /bleep/
most prog post-70s and a lot during the first wave
Noise/harsh noise etc
All of that sarcastic fusion shit like Frank Zappa and Mr Bungle
the majority of hardcore and punk
Meet up w/ fellow /mu/sicians and start a band
Area code game
If we have enough of these odds are someone's going to make a kickass band from mu eventually.
ITT: We predict the Coachella 2015 lineup.
Dubs adds something to the lineup.
