Musician feels thread?
>tfw you can't listen to music without comparing it to your own and realizing how mediocre it is
you just gotta be more like kenye
>>51755183
i have a similar problem OP
>tfw you know some music theory but you're too afraid to write any songs because it'll probably be cliche in some form
>tfw you realize how shitty the music you wrote previously is and will probably never finish most of it
i think it's for the best honestly.
i need to stop wanking and start listening to proper song structures.
So /mu/, what's the best album of 2006?
I'm trying to choose between Ys, Grandeur of Hair, Harmony in Ultraviolet, and The Dance of the Moon and the Sun.
Would anyone like to suggest some albums to be 2006's AOTY? I'm honestly leaning more towards Grandeur of Hair or Ys.
>>51749277
2006 was weak. I can't think of any great albums from that year.
I figured someone might have dug something up that's really great from that year.
A lot of people seem to really love Ys.

Is this a bait thread?
What kind of music is your gf, bf or whatever else into /mu/? Pleb or patrician? Or in between?
My gf likes Tori Amos, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Radical Face, NMH, Regina Spektor, Joanna Newsom, and other stuff in that realm as far as what she listens to a lot on her own. But she enjoys stuff I play like Aphex Twin, Burial, some metal and even Death Grips. So I really can't complain.
post the mega with her pics

It's good for the price and packs a lot of features in to its small footprint but god damn it, Arturia need to do a full size 'Brute with a second oscillator and 3+ octaves of keys.

If you want something done anon in most cases it's best to do it yourself.

Hey, /mu/.
Is there any more DnB like the softer tracks on this album?
I'm talking Plasticworld, Sounds of Life, Girl in the Fire, Streamline, and Still Grey.
Things is that it's nice but vastly overrated by people who don't know any better. For example, if you liked Plasticworld and Sounds of Life, these 35 LPs have that sort of stuff but are leagues better than HYC (but obviously getting into all this shit takes time which is why no one bothers).

Love this as well, Freddie really was in peak form on this release. Shame he lost his chops around this time :[
Anything good from this year? Pic related was pretty nice melodic and rhythmic, but also adventurous large group jazz.
