What's happened with 2014?
I haven't been on /mu/ in a while, but I haven't heard as many good albums this year as opposed to last year. I can only name 4 that I like so far.
Can /mu/ show me some of the good releases from this year that I can give a listen? I wanna fill up this chart

So, I'm confused about these new UK obscenity laws. Is it still permissible for me to publicly say that I would like Charli XCX to sit on my face?

Fred Fisher Atalobhor & His Ogiza Dance Band - Say the Truth (1979)

Cortex – Troupeau Bleu (1975)
--“ Its samples have shown up on releases by everyone from DJ Cam and MF Doom to Fat Joe and Rick Ross. Once you drop the needle on the record it's easy to see way. Smooth and funky straight out of the gate, Cortex waste no time in setting the mood. Deep grooves give way to mellow female vocals; upright bass leads the way for lyrical piano improvisations.” I hate jazz-funk but I fuck with this.

Post-Rock: what happened?
I got into Post-Rock two years ago. I started with stuff like TNT, MNLWND, Hex, Disco Inferno, Talk Talk... And it's so much better than shit like EITS and generic crescendo core
and as far as I know post-rock has been completely dead this year. not that I look for it at all but I havent noticed a damn thing.
This one was pretty nice
There really has not been any post rock though. I've been wanting to make some for a while but no drummers.
The hillarious thing is even Post Rock artists couldn't escape the limitations and generic nature of rock music

As a whole I thought Tomorrow's Harvest was better than MHTRTC
Genres you dislike and detailed explanations of why.
I'll start:
Any Djent besides Meshuggah: because it's not really written towards any kind aesthetic or musical beauty. The only time I even have to come into contact with it is gear nerds who noodle on 8 strings on Youtube. It doesn;t have the frenetic lustful energy of math rock or experimental rock like Hella. It just sounds like metal core with Parkinson's and metalcore itself as a genre struggles to sound heavy or even angry at this point, just cliche.

>>51830165

Whatever genre Trout Mask Replica is supposed to be.
Vaporwave

I'd recommended Chuck Berry.
Share WIPs, discuss DAWs, shitpost about needing/not needing music theory, get advice, learn things, read the manual vicariously through other anons.
first for you don't need a degree to make it
>>51798605
You're still better than Mailey.

3rd for you dont need western harmonic theory either
