Alcatraz – Vampire State Building (Germany, 1972)

What jap albums do you believe would go on the Japanese equivalent of mucore ?(chart of relatively obscure albums covering many genres, so no, not just shitty mathrock and poprock.)
Midori - Hello Everyone
Boris - Flood
the first Kyary album

probably some te', or Worlds End Girlfriend

Nujabes - Modal Soul
What's the deal with these threads about Japanese music?
I don't think I've ever went and thought "gee, I sure could go for some Japanese music right now", the nationality of the artists I like has very little to do with why I appreciate their music. The fact that some of those artists are Japanese is something I barely take note of, since "Japanese music" isn't an actual genre.
Is it just some weeaboo thing?
I'm a traveler from the near future. I have access to Wikipedia archives from 2025-2050.

Bonus Pro Tip - MBDTF2 is crowned the greatest album of the 21st centaur upon release.
Teo Macero & Wally Cirillo - Explorations
>pretty much famed producer and saxophonist Teo Macero's only release as a leader, great third stream / avant-garde jazz with some really out there stuff for its time
Evan Brewer - Alone
>god tier bass shredding / prog, one of the few interesting releases i've heard in the genre for decades
Johnny Mandel - Harper (OST)
>god tier crime jazz, nowadays it's illegal to be this cool.
Kurt Rosenwinkel - The Next Step
>god tier avant-garde jazz guitar, a little fedora-ish but i can tolerate it
>quit music now-core
>death pop / electroclash
>chiptune / digital chaos
Checking out the evolution now, heard good stuff
What were your favorite electronic releases this year?
I've had a very non-active year in terms of checking out new music. I loved Syro, liked You're Dead and disliked Xen. So what else did you guys hear?
I can't remember what electronic albums I listened to that came out this year. Off the top of my head I can think of; Lauren Bousfield - Avalon Vales, Gazelle Twin - Unflesh, The Soft Pink Truth - Why Do the Heathen Rage, and Francis Harris - Minutes of Sleep. Of those Avalon Vales was probably my favorite.
I liked this album a lot, although it doesn't have much replay value. Silver has a gorgeous outro.
Is it just me or was 2013 far superior to 2014 in terms of electronic albums?
