damn...
Die Antwoord is the project of a man who was sick of pretending and conceptualising. Die Antwoord are exactly as the appear to be, even if they're not.

Bands in which the main songwriter has the real talent and the other members are just there for the ride.
I'd say Kasabian but everyone hates Kasabian
Sergio is the only one who writes everything
In Syd Barrett era definitely
I know Waters did a song for the album, but it was very influenced by Syd, and hadn't 'matured' yet.
The mono version of 'Take up thy stethoscope and walk" is sooo much better than the stereo, it sounds like an actual band playing together

This my Alternative R&B EP that I released about a month ago. I tried to create atmospheric and moody songs, with a dark vibe to them. People have seemed to enjoy them, tell me what you think!
If you want to hear my new single that I just released, it's on my Soundcloud page:

do you consider this heat to be post punk?
what about viet cong?
i think this is a fairly unclear genre
>>55201105
The more of any genre you listen to the more you'll be able to discern if new music fits into that genre. In the end it's all about your own perception though so fuck it
I feel like genres for most music kind of fits that phrase / ethos about pornography - 'I can't tell you what it is but I know it when I see it' - can be applied as 'I can't describe [genre] (perfectly at least) but I know it when I hear it' once you've listened to it enough
Yes we needed a new one of these, thanks anon. Do Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds really count as post punk? His older and first couple of albums, yeah maybe, but what about the rest?
What artists signed on Warp/released music on Warp do you know that are terribly underrated?
Everyone's heard of Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada and Flying Lotus, but there seems to be a lot more artists on there worth checking out.

Prefuse 73
max tundra (who released a neat single for them)
elecktroids (=drexciya side)
broadcast (maybe not underrated tho)
plone (lovely simple upbeat music)
>>55202471
Oh fuck, I love Plone so much. Nice to see them mentioned.
Name someone more lovely and talented than Bjork.
