Why does /mu/ hate IDM?
>>55308423
It calls itself Intelligent Dance Music
>>55308423
I don't think /mu/ does...

Little EP of acoustic covers I'm working, gonna be working on a few more original tracks to pepper in soon, but for now it's pretty solid. I'm taking a break from metal for the moment so I figured I'd cover acoustic songs from otherwise primarily metal bands like Anathema, Opeth, and Agalloch. Check it out, some heavy feels.

I feel sorry for anyone who's never played Deus Ex.
>>55292280
dude I think everyone that takes this thing seriously goes through that, just keep at it m8, take a producing class at a cc just to kinda be with other people like you, and to give all the people who don't think it's productive an excuse. Trust me you will go through some pretty depressing moments when finding your way through this thing but stick it out in the end so you can play at that festival that Natalie attends with her fuck ass friends, and when she's in the audience she'll look up at...

Ambient, downtempo or ambient techno?
Pick one, and why?
>>55296130
Ambient techno
I like normal techno already so I guess that's why I like ambient techno a bit more.
Ambient > Ambient Techno >>>>>>>>> Downtempo
if you don't have the ability to enjoy downtempo you are by definition an autist fag

Eh, I don't think you can really be an aspiring rapper and get praise on /mu/. Too much thinly veiled racism.

Moody Blues are awesome.
a majority of /mu/ doesnt know shit about any music released before the 90s, and they dont really know much about music after the 90s either
Breathe deep the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament,
Another day's useless energy spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son,
Senior citizens with they were young.
Cold hearted orb rules the night,
Removes the colours from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right.
And which one is an illusion???

Let's talk Japanese music.
Just listened to pic related, thought it was great, especially the second half. Near perfect pop record.
>>55290058
japanese isn't a genre you fucking weeb
>>55290142
when did he say it was you bully
Been digging these guys lately, Hartfield is good too.
If you had to choose between Aphex Twin or Squarepusher to listen to for the rest of your life (OR, you can't listen to one of them anymore), which would you choose? Whose discography is better?
Since Damogen Furies just came out, did you think it was better than SYRO?
And anything else you want to talk about, really. Just keep it about Warp artists or people in those kinds of styles.
Aphex Twin is the obvious answer.
Yeah definitely Aphex Twin. Both have a lot of material but RDJ has to have a good 40-50 hours of music out, you'd never get bored. Plus more variety of styles, plus amusing sense of humor, just better in almost every way
I've never really listened to Squarepusher, so naturally I'd have to go with Boards of Canada
