Post some good industrial music albums.
Post albums mentioned solely to bolster someone's eclecticism/credibility on a genre they know next to nothing about.
LOL YOU LIKE GODSPEED? FUCKING PLEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW TRV POST-ROCK LIKE ME.
Do you guys ever make mixtapes for people?
There's this girl I hella like and we're meeting a few times over the next couple of weeks so I thought I'd make one but didn't know if that'd be the ultimate cuck move. I figure it might not seem too weird since we know each other averagely well and talk about music so if she's not down then I could just pass it off as a friendly gesture.
That being said, when you make mixtapes for people you dig, do you put overtly romantic stuff on or just cool shit they might like that flows well?
Cluster - Zuckerzeit
>Krautrock, electronic
Art Bears - Winter Songs
>Rock in opposition, avant-prog, for fans of Henry Cow and Slapp Happy, inspired by carvings on the Amiens Cathedral in France
The Feelies - The Good Earth
>Jangle pop, alt-country, more rural than their post-punk debut
Brotherhood of breath - Procession
big band, free jazz, recorded in 1977. this south african exiles band lead by Chris McGregor delivers here a continuous performance cleverly navigating from joyful Mingus style big band with south african traditional themes to Sun Ra-like freer improvisations
Where do you stand?
Can we actually talk about this album for real?
>Kanye West has revealed that his new album SWISH will be a concept album about his transition from Nike to Adidas. The tell all album will detail his departure as spokesman for Nike and his new and lucrative partnership with the apparel giant Adidas. The title itself is a malapropism referring to the Nike "swoosh" logo, it's not yet known if this was intentional.
What do you guys think?
Nah it can't be. He already made a song about this shit. You can't make a whole album about Yeezys. Surely he's smart enough to realise that he can't make a whole album about Yeezys.
What are some essential future funk?
I just landed a weekly hour-long show at my campus radio station, I'm gonna be playing some light experimental electro. Ranging from Tobacco, Black Moth, selective FlyLo, Panda Bear, etc, down to more avant-garde shit like Black Dice. I'm fucking pumped to start my show (May 21st!) and it'd be really nice of you guys if I got some music suggestions similar to what I explained to help my form the first few sets I'll be on air with.
Nothing but toilet flushes for three hours, and Slayer. And it wouldn't hurt to throw in some sound clips from a snuff film or family guy for good measure.
And start every show with insults to your listeners, inter spliced with quotes from the bible. Be sure to let them know that they're not just garbage, but grade A scum for listening to the radio.
Also, fake ads for products that are insulting and vile, be sure to mention Death Grips asap.
New Bandcamp thread! Last one is basically dead. Post, recc, rate stuff!
>Electronic with some drones
Haven't done this in a long while, last time I was here I was drunk as hell
I have a new album that'll hopefully be done mid-June
>electronic, IDM(?), experimental(?), ambient
>fun feels-y power pop, indie rock, three (and some four!) part harmonies
>influenced by 60s pop and 90s emo
New release, I hope you enjoy it.
>art-rock, post-rock, instrumental, minimalist
ITT: great albums /mu/ never mentions
How do I become an avant-teen?
Listen to these then shitpost about how superior you think you are
