what do you do with your glasses during shows, /mu/?

Just kill yourself as evolution intended.

i usually just wear contacts so i don't break them
more often than not concerts can be intense and wearing delicate glassware is usually not a great idea

I only listen to live albums because of fags like you
>>59601824
For the most part I agree, but some bands are simply better live. Some bands will add on certain sections, or simply have a more raw live performance that lends itself better to the songs
It really just depends on the artist, though
>>59601824
I agree, and I disagree with the people who disagree
Maybe you should listen to bands/artists who can actually play live and don't just slog through playing exactly the same thing that's on the album.

It's over
He fucking did that a decade ago.
good, he sucks
When's the last time he even toured? He might now have officially stopped until right now but he might as well have.
Hopefully he makes a new album at some point though.
What's the consensus on this album?
shit-tier post rock
>>59601713
I've only recently heard Technicolour for the first time. quite enjoyed it. is this one better?
>>59601713
Footprints in Snow is the best song to come out of the 90's
Why is it that pop music has only been capable of releasing 8 great albums in 50 years?
i'm only seeing 2 great albums there
so much for pop music
Song Cycles and Spiderland were pretty damn mediocre.

How do I get into surf rock?
How do I get into Martial Industrial?
>>59601676
>martial industrial
Listen to Rome. A lot of their stuff is more neofolk than martial industrial but still.
how do i get into noise music
Genre names like martial industrial are one of the reasons why normies will never relate to the people who use them.
What is the most annoying thing about some speakers/headphones?
To me it's when you can't hear deep sounds.
Probably the way they flatten the middle of my hair when I wear them for too long
>>59601643
being strangled while sleeping
well loudspeakers need a sub and headphones need to be designed to do low frequencies and they always have problems in the high frequency range
my problem is when they're uncomfortable
I need more like this
There's nothing like it but if you haven't listened to them yet, Dan from HANL has a couple solo albums under Giles Corey and Blackwing. There's also an album by his brother called A Ticking Clock I Couldn't Stop by Afterlives. Also Planning for Burial and Dweller on the Threshold have similar aesthetics which is why they're on Enemies List Recordings.

if you want something like deathconsciousness look at soundtracks for the blind by swans and weighing souls with sand by the angelic process.

what exactly is wrong with pop-punk? I'm not talking My Chemical Bromance or any of that shit, stuff like Green Day and Bowling for Soup. No, it doesn't often have the lyrical depth of "actual punk", but it's often the gateway drug for that kind of stuff. I don't get it.
MCR is good and they put on an amazing show. Glad I got to see them open for blink before they were kill

ITT: Remarkable albums every serious music listener needs to hear before calling themselves educated
I'll start with an obvious one
i do own that album
I actually seriously listened to that album a few days ago and it made me think wow, this band from the 70's could really have been some indie band from the mid thousands and i wouldn't have known the difference, also the strokes stole their aesthetic.
Where's a good place to download albums legally and free. It needs to have a wide selection too.
>>59600680
Napster

You can only choose two

help /mu/!
I am going to be designated DJ for tommorow night party. I need to entertain bunch of plebs (cca 100 people) at frat party and still need to play decent music. I thought about:
Tame Impala
Joy Division
New Order
Radiohead
Battles
The Smiths
some varporwave
and dome older classics (Velvet Underground, Doors, Pixies, Bowie,...)
Any suggestions /mu/?
>frat party
>playing anything but EDM and pop rap
Are you severely socially handicapped?
Why would you play any of that music at a party?
I like all that music but if you are going to play music for a bunch of frat bros plebes i dont think they are going to to take a liking to the smiths...
You arent playing the music you like you retard, you play the music the room likes
