So this film, it's about a musical eccentric called Frank. Pleb joins the band, plebs about a bit, drama happens, pleb leaves. END
The first half of the film is basically the story behind Trout mask replica where the band shut themselves inside a house for a year, write an album, perfect the album, record the album then go out on tour or something. My problem is that this is what I have always fucking wanted. Perhaps not to the extreme of the Trout mask sessions, but at least something. I'm a third year uni student and I thought that coming to uni (composition course) would help me find some people that could push me musically and push my experimental mind. In reality, I know a few guitarists, a pianist and a few djent ... fans. The closest I have to pushing my experimental side is someone who has a slight interest in 20th century classical music.
I'd love nothing more than to find a group of unstable people who I could create some truly experimental music with. Minimalism, repetition, microtonality, twelve tone it's all been done. I want people who can find creativity anywhere, but all around me I just see, well, people who just enjoy music instead of living it.

Are there many bands/artists that have "lore" and elaborate multi-album concepts? The only ones I can think of are Frank Zappa and ICP.

If you went through his entire discography and got rid of all the shitty filler, you could probably get a couple of really good albums out of it.
Nah
More than that.

You could probably get one decent 40 minute album. Definitely not enough for 2 whole albums.

What will Pitchfork rate Garden of Delete? I can't imagine they would pan it if they've given "best new track" to 2/3 songs they've reviewed.
