Are there any prog metal bands like Dream Theater that I won't get made fun of for liking?
>>66037358
Maybe Opeth. I mean some people here like em. But you'll always find that one faggot who shits on you for liking Prog Metal. Or Metal in general.
ayreon maybe? into the electric castle is real good
>>66037358
sikth, ihsahn, leprous, pain of salvation. i dunno
post a song, listen to the one posted below you and come back to give your thoughts or just a rating or whatever

the problem with these threads is everyone posts but no one gives any responses
>>66037389
The problem with these threads is that people keep posting them. They have no place on a messageboard let alone an imageboard.
The greatest American composer.
Other contenders are Gershwin, Ives and Ellington.
no i'm not memeing
The red pill could have saved Waldo Jeffers, that's all I'm saying.
How am i so blind, I've only just realised thats waldo jeffers on the cover

Do you guys like Neurosis? Best album?
Best is Through Silver in Blood. Personal favorite is pic related.
I liked what I have heard of them. Should probably listen to more, but I haven't gotten into the mood to listen to much more. I think I did download their entire discography though.
Hey /mu/, I'm going to a concert on Friday but I want to try to look for a concert friend on Craigslist.
I wouldn't mind going alone but it'd be nice if I had a concert friend of some sort.
What do I do?
Go alone. It's better anyway.
>>66037024
Okay
I'll take your word for it
>>66037009
Like the other guy said just go alone it's seriously a non-issue. I don't understand how there are so many threads like these it's like you guys have never been outside before I mean jeez it's not like you're seeing a movie alone or something gross like that.
Best dadrock album?
Workingman's Dead is so underrated, never seen it mentioned here
>Best album
FTFY
that's not even Bruce's best album
Why is this not record talked about here more often? It was very boundary-pushing and unheard-of, especially in 1968. It used tape music, some kind of proto-noise, plunderphonics when they were uncommon, and, of course, experimental vocals from both John and Yoko. Yet it's dubbed as crap by most and largely ignored(at least on here).
What did you think of the record? Do you think it's really something worth talking about?
>>66036907
Sounds like fun to me really. Music should have a crazy side like this.
Also, noise rock was used in Life with the Lions. Velvet Underground and some others did it before, but it is still an early example
>>66036907
It sounds like it'd be more interesting than it is. It's mostly unlistenable nonsense, just like the other two experimental John & Yoko albums.
Give everyone the wrong idea of an artist, mu.
This board is getting stale at times.
Say artist's name like a sharethread, and link a song of theirs that sounds nothing like the rest of their works.
To start, what should I listen to by The Who, The Roots, and DMX?
inversely, anyone need recs?

Did you like the last record?
>>66036856
It was pre good overall. Last 2 tracks were turds but still. 7/10 for me
Pretty mediocre I guess, but not bad by any means
It's honestly okay that Dave will never make anything as good as he did from 1986-1992 because he wrote 3 GOAT metal albums including the pinnacle of thrash
Better than Super Collider, that's for sure
