I'm rather new to /mu/ and the music community in general. I'm kind of struggling to quantify what makes a song album filler, so I would like some examples. The rules are simple:
1. Post an album
2. Post every song on that album you consider filler.
Starting with an easy album.
"filler" is just a pseudo-intellectual's way of saying "song on the album that I find boring and/or unremarkable"
Filler doesn't actually exist
Hope I've helped

I don't think that's strictly true. If you only have 30 minutes of music worth showing but your label demands 40 minutes then you could bang out a simple song.
My question is how people confidently call something album filler.
THEY only a filler if you aint a real niqqa

I'm really curious as to how the Conde Nast takeover is going to change the downward industrial complex spiral direction they've been in

PAN OF THE CENTURY
>whips out popcorn and lawn chair
still gonna listen to it and enjoy it and there's nothing you can do to stop me
(shhh op, we can still fool the sheep)
This is the most pretentious album I've ever listened to. How do people enjoy this?
Is that from Starblazers/Battleship Yamato
>>60289073
combined with the fact that it is nigh impossible to find due to the album title
There is absolutely no pretense in the slightest.
It is solely a highly abrasive plunderphonics album that isn't particularly good.
"Pretentious" is not a catchall term for things you don't like.
hey there, me and my friend would like to start a band but we need a name. we are gonna be a metal/punk band. any ideas?

I love Change of Coast but he has some better songs
The Wavves song is absolutely fucking garbage.
Albums that are awkward to listen to on your phone in public 'cause their album art appears in the music application or on your lock screen.

Noice m8, have you heard their other stuff? I've only heard Who Killed Sgt. Pepper, wanted to know how it stacks up.
>>60289383
Nah I've only heard Pol-Pot's Pleasure Penthouse before listening to this one, and imo this one sounded a lot more folk-sounding than 4P, which was pretty psychedelic. All the songs on TGFMI are solid though, including the second half.
Are there any more besides pic related and that guy from DIIV?
not famous at all but the guy who came up with that last.fm collage generator plays in band called Dead Cat or something.
It's really bad.

Supposedly Kevin from Tame Impala used to go on here, not sure if it's a hoax or not though.

I am currently working a job where I sit at a desk for 7 hours; I can listen to music while I work and am looking for some new stuff to listen to, I was hoping /mu/ could suggest a few albums.
Some of my fav albums, to get a sense of my taste:
Sad Sappy Sucker / Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks- Modest Mouse
Salad Days / 2 - Mac Demarco
Hemispheres - Rush
Mimicking Birds - Mimicking Birds
Aha Shake Heartbreak / Youth & Young Manhood - Kings of Leon
First Impressions of the World - The Strokes
Might not be a good look at the stuff I'm...

My room-mate is basically in love with these guys, he recommended i listen to some of their older stuff. I'm into rock, and sweet guitar matched with great vocals, so are they worth the time to check out?
