What's the name of the genre where the lyrics are rapped/spoken-sung, but the music is in no way related to Hip Hop/rap? I know about stuff like rap-rock but that's usually still quite conventionally hip hop influenced.

I kinda did the same thing, although I do enjoy quite a bit of vapid pop music, so I usually just put that on. In fact, for this exact reason, I end up listening to more vapid pop even though I enjoy the rest of my library more.
